I was wondering about the rear motor mount on the CVT. Is it necessary? I see the value with the 6 speed. But wasn’t sure with the CVT since it isn’t rocking as much.

It helps with the Engine response whether manual or Auto. You can can definitely tell. Easy and awesome upgrade.

Good to know. I had front and rear solid mounts in my RSX. Idle was brutal. Fortunately I needed to raise the idle rpm to 1200 for the cams I was running anyway.

How does this rear mount with the softer piece affect idle and daily driving?

Lol. I remember having 5 or 10 in the RSX. I took it off and went to the legal limit when I backed into a parked car at night in a well lit parking lot.

Really not that noticeable. Just more audible engine tone. No vibrations in the cabin.

It's pretty rough with the rear engine mount. I went the insert route but even that is annoying at idle.

I don’t even notice mine anymore. They do take time to settle. About 300 to a 1000 miles.
