Alright, shoot me over a PM with your DL and SS and I’ll have our sales manager pull your credit. You’ll have a new inquiry on you bureau which will affect your score from 2-5 points on average.

edit: I should clarify that yes, immediately after the pull, your score will remain unchanged, however, once your bureau reports the inquiry, typically within 30 days, you’ll see the drop the following month.

No need to do that idiotic challenge. I have 2 houses a business, and have bought over 20 cars in my lifetime. I can see right on my latest Experian alert that my FICO score has not changed over the last 4 months. My Bank which hold my business loan just “soft pulled “ my credit report , like they do every 6 months back in April and Alas same score. . Thanks for the offer. A soft pull does not affect your score. That’s why they added that feature a decade ago. I’ll call Experian later this week to remind them they forgot to deduct a point or two for the soft pull.

I see. So somehow your business loan, relationship with your bank, your 2 homes, 20 car purchases and your business qualifies you as an expert on an “auto-enhanced” credit pull. My word, you must be correct!

I’ve just worked for dealerships for two plus decades.

test drove the Type-S today. Sorry for the tease but I’ll share my thoughts as soon as I get on my computer. Positive experience though.

All these people getting to drive the car makes me jealous. My dealer was hardcore on the 19th embargo date. Then my sales guy is out till middle of next week.. I guess I'll have enough content to review that will hold me over. Plus the LCM is still MIA so I doubt it will be ready before July.

I know right?! My salesman txt'd me Friday, said they got it, and were installing accessories. No test drives until tomorrow (19th). They're closed today anyway. I suppose each dealer does what the want (somewhat).

Thanks for the detailed in depth description of your experience! By chance did you examine the fit and finish? A guy from the facebook group took a really close look at his black one, and opted out of purchasing it. He said it appeared as though several areas on panels were repainted over sand (bumpy and not smooth), evidence of paint pen etc... also one of the rear taillights stuck out noticeably further than the other etc. I'm curious if his experience was a one off..hoping that's the case.
That post about the guy backing out of the black ITS seemed to grab a lot of attention. I fully agree with the notion that he was looking for excuses to feel better about not buying the car. There was a ton of inconsistencies with that post, and his post history in that group.

A list of "imperfections" that sounded superficial at best and no evidence to back it up, and he deleted the post not long after.

He was one of the more active members on that group, and at one point started a thread asking if people were going to pay more than MSRP. The reason he gave was he wanted to feel secure about "not taking a bath" if he got buyer's remorse...

Worrying about buyer's remorse before even looking at the car? Yeah, I hope he feels better but his "impressions" of that car is exactly why I wish I could just turn off my interest for this car until 9am tomorrow.

I had my ITS test drive scheduled for Tuesday but, unfortunately I’m gonna have to reschedule since I’m told I now have to work, lol.

My Acura dealer is 2 1/2 hours away so I’m hoping I can get up there as soon as the following week before I go on vacation. Because if I don’t, I’m pretty sure the demo will disappear!

Agreed. Depends on your use. My GT350 has the +$$ optional leather-trimmed sport seats (heated and cooled) and they have more than enough bolstering and with alcantara on most of the seating surface there is zero sliding. Super comfortable for the kid and wife. If I tracked the car regularly I'd just invest in whatever I needed and if that meant a seat swap, so be it.

To be honest, back in the day I tracked a supercharged S2000 at Sebring, Homestead, and a few other tracks around FL. As basic/simple as those seats were, they certainly weren't the weak link in my lap times!! :)
I've really been torn between the ITS or a used GT350. But we're leaning ITS for practically now & GT350when the kids are a little older. Or I'm a little richer.😆

Got an extensive amount of seat time during the test drive. My sales guy was very accommodating so we took the Type-S across 3 freeways and along some back roads to test out the difference between drive modes and NVH. Here are my takeaways:

Looks:
• Type-S has presence. Even my wife who typically steer away from aggressive looking vehicles liked the way it looked
• Panel gaps & fitment issues weren't apparent to me, however I did notice the one thing everyone kept pointing out where the front bumper and fender meet. (See video 1) There might also be a slight variation in paint color due to the difference in material but I couldn't be sure. That is enough to tell you that I think if you look hard enough you will see some inconsistencies or "imperfections". Does it bother me? Not at all and does not steer me away from the Type-S

Seats:
• I have no other reference point other than my 2016 WRX and 2020 Telluride but the seats are very comfortable and well padded. The rears are even more comfortable IMO.
• They are aggressive enough for spirited driving and held me well in place.
• They look much better in person.
• My kids love the red seats lol

Sound:
• The speakers sound, very, very good. Playing at 20% volume was more than enough to fill the cabin even while driving at freeway speeds. Very impressed.
• The exhaust note on comfort is subdued but has a nice low tone. Sport+ opens it up and you definitely hear the pops and burbles when you're outside. My wife test drove the car too and it sounded real good from the outside.
• From the inside, the exhaust in sport+ was quieter than I expected which brings me to two things: 1.) The sound insulation is quite good 2.) I actually like it the way it is. You can still hear it but it's not so loud that it drones in the cabin. Comfort mode is even quieter which makes the Type-S feel like a totally normal car.

Driving:
• The shifter is oh so good! Even my wife loved it. The Titanium knob for me is a must. It's smaller than I expected but it makes the shifts feel special
• On comfort, the Type-S feels like a nice sports car for daily driving. Perfectly fine for freeways and reasonably smooth roads. The ride is firm but not uncomfortable
• Sport+ makes the car feel a lot more bouncy on uneven surfaces. I tried my best to really remember all the different sensations but I feel like I would need a lot more time driving it. Overall though, even on comfort the car felt sporty.
• The car did really well keeping out wind and traffic noise out. However, there was a considerable amount of tire noise which surprised me. Not enough to be unbearable in my opinion. That's when I am reminded that I am still driving an "entry-level luxury car" albiet much more refined.
• Engine pulls and is smooth. I took a corner pretty aggressively (and safely) and the car felt very, very planted and confidence inspiring. I forgot it was FWD.
• I rode in the backseat while my sales guy drove and the back actually felt comfortable but a bit bouncy in sport+

Key takeaway, the Type-S is a very livable car. Feels sporty as is and adds even more character in sport+. It felt special but It did not feel like a race car for the streets to me, but I say it in a good way. I think this is why to me the seats are just perfect. If I wanted a more race-car feel, I would be shopping for a CTR or an STI perhaps. The Type-S is refined and buttoned down enough that you understand its placement in Acura's lineup. Can't wait to take delivery of my LCM :D

P.S. My wife also test drove the MDX Type-S and now she's considering trading in one of our cars for one.
P.P.S. Ran into another enthusiast from an FB group. He test drove the Type-S as well and had a very positive experience.

With kids, definitely the ITS. The GT350 is a great car but in my opinion is not a great daily and would be an even worse family car.

I mean we could always take the Durango for family stuff...but just having the option to drive the ITS more bc of having that versatility I think will be worth it at this time.

The demo you drove, like almost all the other ones where people have complained about gaps/fit of the front bumper in relationship to the fender, have one thing in common--the illuminated Acura emblem on the grill. Installation requires removal of the front bumper and I would not be surprised it's off a bit when remounted by the tech.

Well it pains me to write this but the dealership that let me drive their demo called me and said they're selling it for $75k. I said that's outrageous are you crazy? I've owned 2 Type R's and haven't paid over msrp for either 1 of them. I said I'm not going to start now. I said this is wrong. You know damn well that car isn't worth $75k and he says well its limited blah blah blah. I said it doesn't even have a serial number from the factory. I told him I would be taking my business elsewhere since yall lied to me. Unless they come to their senses. The most I'm willing to pay out the door with full accessories is $58k out the door.

I have a second dealership I've been dealing with and they have guaranteed me MSRP. But it will be without the accessories. But they won't let me drive the demo. But at least I got to drive the car at the other dealer lol 😆.

But $75k... I just can't wrap my head around that. Who would pay that for that car. I still don't understand why people over pay for the Type Rs when you can buy them for MSRP. It's like they're trying to sell these cars with the expectation of future value. That's insane to me. Some stupid kid will walk in there and blow all their money on this car and be completely upside down. I just don't get it. I wish people would be smarter than this. If they don't change their tune soon I'm going to post a negative review on Google and add them to the naughty list on here. I called them out too. I said I can't believe yall lied to my face. Bastards.

I sat in a TLX Type S and a regular integra a couple weeks ago, and thought the seats were about the same. I have to assume with the "added bolstering" it should be at least on par with the TLX. I don't actually think there will be a problem with "extreme cornering", at least not from a street or mild track day perspective. I think it's been pretty clear that if you'll be heading to the track often with the intent on setting the fastest lap times, this is the wrong car.

I also don't see how the shifter would be any different from the Type R. It's the same running gear. Unless they're talking about the actual shift knob- I can't reconcile how it would be any different.

All that said now that we're coming down to the wire with driving impressions right around the corner, I feel like this thing has a lot of expectations to live up to. Especially considering the price. I do have intentions of taking this thing to the track occasionally and probably weekly drives through backroads. It has to deliver on the same driving dynamics as the Type R, maybe without the excruciating bounciness of +R mode.

If it can't do that, I'll be back on the hunt for a Type R immediately.
That has to be a joke the integra seats are trash compared to the tlx seats.

cheap vinyl and uncomfortable so flat the bottoms. Tlx is nice real leather comfortable and supportive. I was thinking about buying an integra and the seats turned me off big time.

Have you sat in a ITS? I drove the car and absolutely loved them. I am a medium sized guy and they fit great around me. I felt very secure and comfortable.

Trash is not how I would describe the seats. Makes me wonder if you've even been inside 1.
