Hi,

Any idea why the OEM Carbon Fiber Tailgate Spoiler was designed NOT to fit into existing holes of ITS?

The installation requires drilling new holes and covering existing holes with a tape. Was it really hard to align into existing holes and provide new clips? It would save time and effort taking apart half of the tailgate.

I am just curious. I hope some after market manufacturer comes with same design and material, gloss carbon fiber, that fits existing holes.

It's the same spoiler for the standard Teggy from last year. Installation hasn't changed. I guess it wasn't really thought out well.

^^ This is exactly it.

Designer: "Well if they didn't mind paying $900 for a carbon fiber spoiler, maybe they won't mind a few extra holes to mount it?"
Another Designer: "Ok, let's make it $950 and add in some tape to cover the old holes."
Both: "Brilliant."
