Has anyone received a delivery date or notification on Apex blue/ black......production was listed as Aug/Sept.

Your not alone I been waiting for apex blue with black my dealership have got but one car after the receive there demo sad?

They seem to be in production and shipping to dealers now. I placed a deposit for an APB/Black and was led to believe I was first in line for that color combo. Saw that one was in transit, so I reached out to my dealer to confirm it was mine. I was told that it's for someone else, but promised I am next in line. Who knows when that may arrive, because this is also only the second Type S they've been allocated.

I've been told by my local dealer, who is a smaller dealer, that the large dealerships will always receive a priority when delivering non-owner owned cars...ie allocations. They have only received one of their allocations ..a LCM/Black, but did get 2 pre-ordered cars. Another smaller dealer 100 mi away received 2 cars of their 4 allocations, a White/red and LCM/black.

Since the Apex and White with black are both scheduled for Aug/Sept production I assume they will be arriving this month.

Note, both of these dealers received a 1 day advanced notice of the cars arrival.

So is there a difference between an “allocation” and a reservation? All 3 dealerships in my area that I called were taking. $500 or $1000 refundable deposit to get on a list. My dealership did them by color combination and the other 2 just have one big list and the first person can either take it or pass and then it goes to the next person. Is this how allocations work? Or is that something different?

The two dealers by me were given 4 ITS allocation back in April. These were open to the dealer supplying a request for 4 color com inaction and guaranteed for delivery by year end 2024.

The dealers took deposits for these allocations....but they were the dealer choosen colors. In addition, the same dealers accepted deposits for any additional ITS cars or additional allocations, but no guarantees they will be delivered this year.

I believe there were several tiers of cars: Pre-order ( 200 cars), Demo cars (approx 200- 250), allocation cars ( ranges from 4 to 20 cars per dealer depending on dealer sales), reservations (no limit) but limited production.

Well I partially did this to myself. I passed on a black one when they called since it wasn’t my preferred color choices. Now I regret it.
