Hello everyone,

I'm hoping to get some insights into an issue I've been experiencing the last couple months. There's a popping sound that seems to come from the area behind the passenger seat, around the headliner or roof (above the second row), whenever I turn the vehicle or drive on an incline where the car's body flexes.

Has anyone else encountered a similar issue? It's quite noticeable and somewhat concerning. I've checked the interior, and everything seems intact.

Any advice or suggestions on what might be causing this and how to address it would be greatly appreciated!

There was someone here with a rattle that would start on the right hand turn. The sound came from the rear(closer to B pillar) of the passenger door. He opened the door panel and found that a plastic weld had a crack in it and was making a noise when turning.

I have had this issue with my car since new and believe it is from the sunroof. While I live in the desert, we have had a very rainy year and there is no leak at all. My RDX did the same thing when backing out of my garage and going over the sloped curb of my street.

Thank you for the suggestion Imperial! In my case, the noise I'm hearing is more of a popping sound rather than a rattle. It seems to be coming from a similar area around the rear passenger door, but the distinct popping sound makes me think it could be a different underlying cause. I'll investigate further and check for any cracked plastic welds or other potential sources of that popping noise near the B-pillar area on the passenger side.

Thank you Padre Dave! That's an interesting point about the sunroof being a potential source of the popping noise. I live in the desert as well, and like your experience, I've noticed this issue since fairly new, but it has become much more pronounced over the last 3 months or so. I'll take a closer look at that area.
