I hear you, I just try to advocate for the 4 cylinder 718 whenever I can. It's probably the best "bang for the buck" in this current market as far as what you get from a sports car at its price point- but it does not have the same sound, which I totally understand is a critical component to the sports car experience.Specifically chasing NA and induction noise. I have a fun turbo car already
If I can't make the 718/981 6 cyl w. the GT4-esque intake work, I'll settle for an E9x M3 w. bearings, etc. or an AP1 S2K. It's probably going to be the S2k, and I'm okay with that, but dream big, as they say.
I wanna say that 981 base or even S cars and S2Ks are going to be about the same price soon, if not already. That is a tough call because they each have their own appeals... I'd lean towards Porsche though for modernity and proven reliability. Probably significantly more performant too at least stock for stock.
Weirdly I saw a video of an EK9 Type R the other day that made me want one very fiercely.
