  1. Back on Track

Oil analysis came back. The virgin oil they deemed looks okay. It's interesting how much my oil degraded in weight in under 1800mi, but hey it's breaking in.
  2. What did you do to your Integra Type S today? 🙋🏻‍♂️

Didn't password:jdm shutter their doors a while back? I feel you on 3rd gear. The gates in this car are so narrow... I've been confident several times I was in 1st only to find out I was in 3rd. Once happened twice in a row where I KNOW I popped it out of gear rocked side to side, then went all...
  3. G4werkz Front lip Senna GTv1 [updated: Do not buy from them (still no refund)]

In all likelihood they're probably a dropshipper or don't actually stock anything, so the fee is probably covering the handling of having to ship it back to factory or consume stock space. It's understandable, but not for something that never made it to a shipping state.
  4. Changing seat height

I don't mess around with factory safety points because I don't want to assume liability for the passenger, be it my wife or anyone else. The worst case would be a bad accident where insurance refuses to pay for the passenger's injuries due to change in factory design by the owner. It's the...
  5. Changing seat height

It's just cost cutting. I've had many manual seats that allow for height adjustment. This one just doesn't, probably for the same reason we don't have seat memory or hood struts... "to save weight($)"
  6. What did you do to your Integra Type S today? 🙋🏻‍♂️

Yeah the 600 is fantastic. I've run the 660 and srf before, in addition to several others, but the 600 always seems the most stable longer term. 660 is just way too sensitive. I've had it work great, but usually one event tops and it needs a bleed, especially on humid days.
  7. Back on Track

I'm all for finding an explanation. The last thing I want is to be spending $1k on dent popping any time the weather changes. I just can't imagine how the dents got there. Either someone carefully hammered on my car with a nice rubber mallet and then carefully put a thin layer of dust evenly...
  8. Back on Track

Dent guy is working on the car and pulled out his dent light. It looks like the ENTIRE roof pillar has longitudinal dents from the front window, all the way back to the end of the hatch area. The ppf people didn't even touch that area. I have no idea how these could have occurred. I have...
  9. Back on Track

Oh I know, but having random and unexplainable dents on both sides of my car, I googled for how a dent like this could happen. The second thing that popped up was that thread. I didn’t use a brand preferenced search term, so the Honda part caught my attention. On mine, there was no impact...
  10. Back on Track

And then I find things like this that have me questioning if it's an inherent platform issue... https://www.driveaccord.net/threads/check-your-accords-dent-indentations-on-roof-side-pillars.547651/page-4
  11. Back on Track

My car might just be cursed... Dropped it off at my ppf place this morning to fix a few issues and redo some areas, and when they did their walk around, they found a bunch of dents on both sides of the car on the structural roof pillar. It wasn't there on the 24th when I washed the car after...
  12. Steering wheel creak

The dealer did something with my cable reel and I no longer get the ticking. I had them fix multiple noises and other things, so documentation was hazy on their end. 500mi now and the noise hasn't come back
  13. New Acura - Transmission break in

After 2500mi I feel no appreciable difference to the actual shifter. A heavier knob can smooth out notchiness. It's a linkage system not a rod, so changing trans fluid would be imperceptible to the shift action, unless the new fluid was way off spec. I did swap the factory fill for higher temp...
  14. Back on Track

Yeah, maybe I've just been spoiled by, vw, audi, Porsche, and BMW. Porsche and audi have both replaced brake pads without even asking. Certainly none of them have EVER denied simply scanning the car to catch the lower level codes. I expect better out of Acura/Honda, so we'll see what they say...
  15. Right Front Tire More Severely Worn than the others.

Get an alignment. Weird wear is certainly something mechanically wrong, but excessive even wear could be from excessive toe dragging the tire. If you hit something pretty hard like you mentioned, it could easily be the issue. The tech is full of BS. Take it back, tell the service manager and...
  16. ITS Rear pads shot after 20k miles

If you're not driving on track (with vsa on) it shouldn't be wearing out the rears that fast. Have you looked at them yourself? The other reason the rears could wear quickly is if the electronic parking brake is malfunctioning and doesn't release entirely when turned off. It's a servo-screw...
  17. Back on Track

Yeah, I'm going to reach out to acura/Honda directly and ask if the ctr and its are actually track capable or if the marketing is lying. Not in those words obviously, but that's the direction I'm headed so the dealer, acura and I can have open and honest conversations. I am not hiding anything...
  18. Back on Track

Well, car already came back from the dealer. Hatch handles appear to be significantly tighter now that the new ones are in. We'll see if they randomly fall out again, but it definitely seems like they should just be replaced any time the hatch trim is pulled, just like all the green clips. The...
  19. Back on Track

Dropped off the car at the dealer this morning to fix the fender they misaligned last time, the front bumper cowl still sitting incorrectly, and the hatch handles that just keep popping out. I had them note the horrendous factory fill and the severe amount of contamination in the brake fluid...
