  1. First failure of the "exhaust?"

Bad news this week. I'm getting a buzzing sound from the back of the car. Turned on the stereo and I think the subwoofer is gone. But because of the piped in exhaust sounds it's making a buzzing sound even when the stereo is off. Comes and goes. Need to make an appointment with the dealer.
  2. Not so smooth shifting

With about 2000 miles I'm going to second the "notchy" description versus smooth. A couple of points. 1. I came from a BMW MT6 and I think the Acura is comparable. I consider that high praise. 2. I quickly got used to down and right reverse, and now like it MUCH better. I have to jockey back...
  3. Acura all electric in ten years

I still have my Ford PHEV. While I don't love the car, I like the execution vs a hybrid or full electric. I'm not interested in either of those at this time. And I have a garage where I can charge it. Don't get me wrong, it is a good car, does everything just fine, and I love getting...
  4. Similarities between Acura Integra adaptive suspension and Civic Si ?

When reviewing a car's ride, never underestimate the importance of tire sidewall. When the brakes allow it, you can downsize the wheel size to improve the ride. I test drove a '22 Civic Sport with 18" wheels and did not like the ride. My son had a 2018 2.0T-Sport, and the spaciousness is...
  5. Current 2022 Si owner looking for thoughts on the Integra

Hey Addy, I've seen a lot of comments from Si owners, but none like yours. Personally I would not recommend the #1 above, but suggest you do more testing before going with #2. I haven't driven an Si, so comparisons will be very general. 1. You mentioned the MT, so you will have to get the...
  6. What's in a name?

I call my new Acura, "Integra" not very creative. But my wife gave a nickname to my 2013 Ford C-max Energi, "The Zamboni." So we have RDX, Integra, and The Zamboni.
  7. What did you do to your Teggy today? 👨🏻‍🔧🧰🚿🛠

Hey Lauren, Tell me a bit about the sunscreen. I haven't owned them in the past. For the past 10 years I've been parking in the garage at home and at work, so I never felt I needed one. But my new job has no garage, and there's a good chance I move in a couple years and won't have a garage...
  8. Brand new to Acura/Honda, few questions about the gearbox on my 2023 Integra please!

I like the term notchy for the manual trans. A real solid feel when it slips into place. I don't know about the click sound though. I'll listen for that next time I drive.
  9. Any word on other (Non-Type S) trim levels?

I'm with OP on this one. Silver wheels, no blackout trim, but still with 6MT would be my pick. Jury is out on microsuede interior. It's nice, but I'm not sure I'd pay for it. Then again, I'm not most people!
  10. turn off LKAS

Not in the car right now, but I checked the owners manual online. On the right section of the steering wheel, the bottom left corner is a button to turn LKAS on or off. When it is on, you see the little car with two lane lines. When it is off, the gauges are a little bigger. Edit, it is the...
  11. Coilovers or Springs to lower your car?

I'm a bone-stock kind of guy, so not seriously considering any mods, except maybe new wheels. I also feel that the adaptive suspension provides an opportunity to adjust the ride based on daily driving preferences; i.e. sport vs comfort. That said, if it comes time down the road to replace the...
  12. Choppy throttle response normal when driving at low speeds?

Every manual car I've driven -since 1978- has been nearly impossible to drive smoothly in 1st gear. Unless I need better acceleration, I always try and get into 2nd soon, around 10 mph.
  13. Choppy throttle response normal when driving at low speeds?

Runnin is on with his estimate. I've also found that Drive mode makes a difference. Response is smoother in comfort and more on/off in Sport mode.
  14. 2023+ Acura Integra Aftermarket Parts Support by PRO Import Tuners

Welcome to the site! We've got huge interest in customization and enhancements. Lots of aftermarket support already. Keep bringing the new and exciting!
  15. Accessories: to choose or not to choose?

Umm, here's my list Black out badges There's not much chrome on my White A-Spec so I like the change - A colleague said my front end was murdered-out. Protective film on handles and rear sill. Splash guards and body side molding. - I'm not very consistent about washing the car, and I think...
  16. Very Poor 2023 Integra 6MT Gas Mileage?

OK, gas mileage story. For 18 years I drove a Saab station wagon 2.3 turbo. 185hp; 220torques. The car was very responsive, but I was usually gentle on the throttle. I'd get 29 mpg on the highway staying under 70 mph. When it was a couple years old, I bought an 18' boat and towed it...
  17. Would you have paid more for a coupe?

Very interesting! I got rid of a "better" car because it was a coupe. When I bought my 2013 BMW 128I I thought I would keep it 20 years. A fantastic car, but they don't sell the 5-door in the US, so here I am with an Acura. That configuration with the hatch is my preference. I would not have...
  18. New thoughts on competitive profile

Acura and the media talk about comparisons to Mercedes CLA, Audi A3, and BMW 2. I'm gonna challenge that. I feel that dimension has been overlooked when determining the competition. Exterior size and interior space is what I use to group vehicles together. I'm not saying that drive wheels...
  19. Picked up my 6MT Apex Blue Integra today!

Nice looking garage! Thanks for the review. I'm struggling with the parking break too, I'm a month and 1000 miles in.
  20. So much hate for this car! Are you disappointed with your purchase?

I am a youthful (lol) 61 and sold a BMW 128i to get my Integra. The Bimmer is a big step up in driving dynamics, and not worth more than the Acura like your C8. But I wanted the convenience of the hatch, plus it's easier to get in and out of. And honestly offers so much fun. I never used...
