I have the same thing, chalked it up to something hitting resonance.
Basically I have experienced all noises people seem to mix up.
1) Waste gate rattle. I have to have the windows down and the music at less than volume 3 to hear it but it's any gear, any rpm but 100% off throttle, engine...
I can't say it's the same for the servo motor style rear brakes but the one of the only "out of standard maintenance" issues I've ever had on my Civic was that one of the rear brakes locked up thanks to rust on the calper. It didn't release with the parking brake. Basically after driving in...
Thank you! I've been particularly busy and haven't had the time to really get out and get the photos I want. 😑
I got super lucky with mine, I just happened to catch wind that a further but still local dealership had an allocation for a LSM and because I already had a deposit at another...
Can confirm rocks getting stuck in the brake shield is a nuisance. I'm not sure if it's any sports car or just a Honda thing but in the past 11 years it happens frequently if you drive anywhere with gravel.
Only tip I can suggest in my experience, steering angle greatly increases the chance of...
I was on the fence about this when considering mine. I knew it was first model year but then again the power train had been out for pretty much the whole 10th gen CTR and then whatever tweaks they did for the 11th gen had a year of testing on the CTR ahead of us.
For the body, same principle...
I guess then the cloning process gets recorded too.
The procedure I thought of was:
Step 1) Get a new one and clone to it
Step 2) Keep the original ECU out of the car untouched except cloning,
Step 3) Jailbreak and install the new cloned unit, swapping back to the OG ECU in the event there's...
Thanks for the quick reply. Crazy how disabling the automatic reactivation of a feature is not possible. I could totally understand tampering with the way it worked (like when it brakes), but keeping it off permanently, this world is becoming too safe.
I guess it'll remain as part of my...
If you don't mind, I've had a few questions about tuning and car settings that I'd seriously appreciate if you could enlighten me on.
1) Is custom tuning by gear a possibility on the ITS?
Frankly I don't care to improve the performance one bit below 60mph and would only be looking for a bump...
Sure, the choice is binary but the results are infinite. Stop twisting the point.
And it is being used for other issues. Just go look at the thread where A-Spec owners were getting battery service emails stemming from low battery levels. It can be used for good.
The only thing you have correct...
The hood seems to be a really popular item.
Don't get me wrong, the carbon fiber weight savings is a nice feature but the standard ITS should get this hood (maybe with more standard materials) keeping the dual vent shape which makes the car that much nicer looking.
Pretty much. I think this is like shooting fish in a barrel because despite being small in numbers, owners are more likely to get something. Better to have 25% of 100 than 1% of 1000.
Also it seems they already developed most of the parts for the racecar so they're essentially pulling them off...
So looking around into the little amount of information available this early, I feel like this is more of an HRC after market parts showcase car, not a potential future model. I mean I can always be flat out wrong, time will tell but it's a head scratcher why they would come out with this when...
That's the thing though, anonymized, I frankly don't care. Heck even if they can quasi rebuild the data to imply that it MIGHT be me, as long as the information can't hold up beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law, have at it.
Also if it's to show me Home Depot ads because I go to HD...
I can't take credit for it though. I heard it from Louis Rossman. He either coined it or in turn got it from someone else, can't find the specific video where he said it though.
I listen to his videos time to time, he really is a good advocate for privacy, right to repair and noble pirating...
The problem is nobody here knows for sure and that's what we're trying to find out.
This is my take on it.
1) Is there even a TCU or something that shares data?
It's clear that unless you provide the Internet connection, the ITS can't transmit any data live like with Chevy or Toyota...
