  1. Honda Noise-Reducing Wheels

Anyone know if our Acura's have these wheels? I read they are on the top trim level '25 Civic coming out to reduce unwanted road noise. That is one of my few complaints with my '24 ITS. On certain concrete road surfaces, it's pretty damn loud inside the car...
  2. Limp mode ends my first track day ever

Almost certain fuel starvation. Ideally, try to keep your tank above half all the time on track if at all possible. If that’s refueling every session or two, just do it. Congrats on all your track day fun! Enjoy!
  3. Type S gets more attention than Type R : Yes or No?

Besides the wing, I think the Type S stands out more and looks more aggressive than the FL5. I don't want attention, but the little I've gotten is from other car guys including Type R drivers. We exchange waves or thumbs up.
  4. Acura dealership loaner.

No, was just saying I’ll take my ITS in for service the same time as you and we can both go race the loaners. 😂😂
  5. Acura dealership loaner.

good to know. Let’s sync up loaners sometime and go race them at Motorsport Ranch or Eagles Canyon. 😂
  6. Acura dealership loaner.

What dealer btw? I just realized you're from Dallas too.
  7. Acura dealership loaner.

See if you can break the second loaner too! Good durability and validation testing for Honda/Acura! :D :D
  8. Holy $#@!! Check out Que the Chaotic's dealership experience

I have a dash cam in every single one of my cars. There are WAY too many idiots out there nowadays and you need evidence when they do something stupid and blame you. On Que's video, Acura needs to do something (or the store's owner at a minimum) as that dealership is a total s-show. I'd be...
  9. The almost perfect roadtrip car (Miksfield's AB ITS)

I bet you could put the extra in the spare tire well area under the cargo floor. That could help a bit more with quieting things down.
  10. The almost perfect roadtrip car (Miksfield's AB ITS)

Thank you for the info! I'd presume about double the material for front and rear fender wells? Thanks again!
  11. The almost perfect roadtrip car (Miksfield's AB ITS)

Interested in your 'velvet' sound deadening measures and the Resonix stuff. Can you give more details on how much Resonix for the rear wheel arches and where you bought the velvet and how it was installed on the cargo cover? That is probably the most annoying (unrefined) thing so far is it's...
  12. 25 on Acura Site, no Type S option until summer

Yes, and besides the lack of manual transmission, I'd argue the hybrid powertrain in the '25 Civic is superior with same horsepower and significantly more torque with a likely wider powerband than the standard '25 Integra.
  13. Would the Type S Actually Benefit from a Front Strut Bar?

Maybe, but again, it certainly doesn’t hurt. Any additional structural rigidity is a positive in my book.
  14. Would the Type S Actually Benefit from a Front Strut Bar?

Finally got my PRL strut bar and installed it this past Friday. So, it does feel a bit tighter in the front. The chassis on the FL5/DE5 isn't exactly the stiffest in the world, so the strut bar definitely doesn't hurt anything and I really think it feels a bit more solid in the front. Took about...
  15. PRL's "Throwback" Front Strut Bar installed

Took...
  16. 2024 cayman GTS 4.0

80mph in second gear on the Cayman kind of sucks. I had a 981 GT4 and it took forever (relatively speaking) to get through 1st and 2nd gear. I like tighter ratios so you have to shift more. Overall, I like the gear spacing in the ITS.
  17. Bogs down in sport+ mode when not on throttle - DE5

Yep, look up "engine compression braking." Totally normal and that's what you're experiencing.
  18. Does Type S have tilting passenger mirror on reverse?

No tilt that I have been able to find so I do it manually. The back-up camera resolution sucks too.
  19. Review: 2024 Acura Integra Type S - In Defense of the Type S

My '24 ITS has been great quality wise. No issues, rattles, squeaks, build quality is good, panel fitment good, etc. Y'all arguing about the M3C, etc. are forgetting the Blackwings. Much better driving dynamics than the BMW's all the way up to maybe the M5CS. I have a 5BW six-speed and...
  20. Review: 2024 Acura Integra Type S - In Defense of the Type S

An acquaintance had his FL5 at the Hondata event in Dallas this weekend and posted on Facebook how he used to hate the DE5, but staring at it most of the day at the Hondata event made him start really liking it. When I told him I had gotten a DE5, he said most of the FL5 guys there were "low...
