Ordered a FL5 Carbon Fiber Armaspeed intake for my '24 Type S on Tuesday, March 5th. It showed at my house in Dallas, TX area on Friday at 1pm. Incredible as the intake shipped from Taiwan via FedEx International Economy. Less than 3 days. Whew.
I do not have good mechanical skills and...
I have a CT5V Blackwing six-speed too and my '24 ITS is more nimble and fun to drive besides the traction issues in 1st and 2nd. Then, I prefer the rear tires spinning. Obviously the BW is more of a complete monster car, but the ITS is fun as heck to drive and half the price of my BW.
Good to hear! I like easy installs as my mechanical aptitude skills are lacking i.e. things that are supposed to take 30 minutes take me like 1.5 hours looking for tools, dropping nuts, cussing, etc. :D
It's happened to me once already in 1,000 miles and generally good roads around DFW where I live. Crazy loud, thought the van in front of me was blowing up. :D :D
After jerking the wheel back and forth several times, I pulled into a neighborhood and into a driveway and immediately backed out...
I like aftermarket wheels, but my major concern is always the fact (in 99% of cases), they have not undergone the rigorous durability testing, validation, and QC that a factory wheel offering has. So, keeping OEM wheels is always a safer bet, especially if you're tracking or otherwise hard on...
I currently own a 670rwhp '10 ZR1 I've owned since new and a 620rwhp bone stock CT5-V Blackwing six-speed. I LOVE driving my ITS. Of course, it's not as fast as the ZR and 5BW, but it's fun as hell around town. It has good power and the handling is amazing, especially for a FWD car. Great...
Yep, me too. Two boys 3 and 6. So, M340i is a great car and I've debated maybe rolling into one, but watching videos (and driving them myself), super competent, super nice, but not being able to shift (8-speed ZF only option, awesome automatic, but not manual. :( ) and the acceleration being...
It’s a lot of car and a lot of quality and a lot of reliability for $50k. I’ve had cars multiple times more expensive and still own some and the ITS is legit.
That said, if you want to be cool and pull the chicks, get a 330i or CLA250. They will swoon over the badge and think you’re rich. 😂😂
If you can live with the space, get a Macan GTS. Best driving SUV (and one of the best driving vehicles period) out there. However, if space is an issue, you can't go wrong with a Sequoia. Like them or not, Toyota makes good vehicles.
The only one I bought specifically to sell after the required time was the Escalade V. The others I planned to keep, but for various reasons, it didn't work out after a while. That said, I won't deny there was a subconscious realization that I wasn't going to get hurt on any them big time...
So, being a CFO/CPA type, I was "playing the game" a bit. I did bail on the Lightning within 45 days which is why I only lost $5k. If I had held it a while longer, it would be more like $25k loss. Crazy. Ironically, the truck itself was actually really nice and had no issues in the 2k miles...
Haha, Optronix. Seriously though, I've had the same disease the past few years and I'm finally getting a bit burnt out. I'm happy with my current collection ( '23 5 Blackwing, '22 BRZ, '10 ZR1, '23 Silverado, '24 ITS, and '23 Tesla Model Y) and hope I can hold onto the ITS for a while. It's...
It did beep and flash the blinkers as I neared the right tire pressure. Thought that was cool if you didn't have a gauge handy.
On the track tire pressures, running 41/35 or whatever cold, wouldn't that put pressures way higher by the end of a hot session nearing 50psi or so in the front...
So, I've been a track guy for 25 years, so you'd think I'd pay more attention and I did notice right away when I took delivery of my '24 ITS that the tire pressures were 40psi all around, but whatever. It was going to be a car for around town, so I didn't think much about it. Car has been...
Sold the GT3 as I was out of garage space with a first 250 CT5-V Blackwing six-speed coming, had it 3 years and put 13k miles on it, needed new brake rotors, wing was chipped when I backed into garage door (don't ask) and they basically gave me my money back in 2021 in the heyday.
Problem was...
I've had 3 P-cars, a new '16 981 GT4, a new '18 991.2 GT3, and the latest a new '23 992 GTS PDK. I sold the GTS after a thousand miles. It was an AMAZING car, but once I had tasted that GT3 motor in the .2, I decided I needed another one in my life and as capable as the GTS was, it didn't wire...
