  1. Undercoat protection - Type S

I live in Ontario, Canada, where salt is spread on our roads in the Winter. Is anybody considering undercoat protection for their ITS? Do you think it's necessary?
  2. Type-S Paint Bubbling

I work for an autoglass company. I will take it in to see if they feel the glass needs to be removed. They experience these issues regularly. Will reply-post once I get a response from them.
  3. Type-S Paint Bubbling

I have rust under the rear backglass. Two very visible spots. Is this common with new cars? I have only seen this once with a civic rear lift gate, turned out to be a recall.
  4. 18" inch winter wheels recommendations?

Hi all, looking for 18 inch wheels for my ITS. For winter. I would like them to look decent. What would you recommend? Reasonable$
  5. Some love for the ITS

M2 is very heavy, small, and a 2-door. RS3 is small. Both are more expensive - can't imagine the repair bills in the future. Good luck trying to find a somewhat reasonable $ mechanic to work on those. ITS provides the complete package of performance, space/usability, reliability, and low...
  6. Spoon lowering springs installed on Integra Type S

For whatever reason, I feel those wheels look better and blend well on the Type R. Just a personal opinion. I also think the Type S looks better with larger 19+ wheels.
  7. Rust under rear backglass

Very good points you made! I did have the spoiler installed last week. I will clean the rust out with a Q-tip and will see what happens. I dont think the paint is bubbled but will check to see if the rust is embedded. I agree with you RUNNIN, from your post - I have had some tree debris stuck in...
  8. Rust under rear backglass

Ok. I will contact the dealer and will follow up on this post as soon as I have more info. Since these cars are so new, it might be a wider issue for many of these. Could likely see a recall because I doubt mine is a one off.
  9. Rust under rear backglass

Hi all I have a platinum white ITS and it looks like rust is forming under the rear back glass. Let me know your thoughts? Anybody experiencing this? See pics. Picked my ITS up on June 14th so I had it for a little while now.
  10. Any current ITS owners plan to trade-in for later year ITS's?

I understand your point of view. I owned a 1991 CRX Si, which I used as a commuter - I also tracked and solo-raced it. Also owned a 1992 prelude SVR, which I used only for rallycross. And a 2004 Civic SIR - Commuter and tracked it. The stock seats on the CRX were really good, as well as the...
  11. Any current ITS owners plan to trade-in for later year ITS's?

I agree, it would be a huge benefit if they improve the seats. Already I am using the footrest as a brace around tight corners. Cant imagine long stints on the track. The bolstering does not support the driver enough, considering the performance of the ITS.
  12. Any current ITS owners plan to trade-in for later year ITS's?

Good point. I agree - it would likely need to be a big change for me to consider. Trade-in value will need to make sense. I was told by my dealer that Acura plans to produce the ITS for three years before moving towards electrification so knowing that, I do not think there will be big changes.
  13. Any current ITS owners plan to trade-in for later year ITS's?

Assuming Acura will make enhancements to the ITS for 2025 or 2026 model years - does anyone plan to trade in their current ITS? If inventory is low going forward, the trade-in value should be high. I am considering putting myself on a waitlist for another one. I know someone who did this for...
  14. Head to head comparison: Civic Type R vs. Integra Type S (Throttle House review)

Dove my ITS hard around some corners this past weekend. I agree that the seats could be better bolstered. Trying to support myself with my legs makes the driving experience challenging but manageable. The seats do not match the ITS's performance. Acura should make some improvements.
  15. Canada ordering

Yep, and 300 total allocated for 2023 - if all deliveries work out as scheduled.
  16. AcuraLink Smartphone App - Type S

I fully agree with you! Maybe because a big expectation from consumers is the autostart option, which would be necessary if consumers pay for subscriptions. But they should at least provide us with something? I mentioned before that my mid-level ford escape has all the remote features via their...
  17. Front parking sensors can identify curbs?

Thanks, duly noted! been driving SUVs for many years.
  18. Front parking sensors can identify curbs?

Does anybody know if the ITS front parking sensors can identify curbs? or do we need to be extra careful? My last car, a merc GLA, had front parking cameras, which came in very handy.
  19. Canada ordering

That's good thinking - I have a young son. I usually go with weathertech, but I could not resist the Type S logoed mats. Coverage for the Type S mats (Front and Back seats) are not as good coverage-wise. Back seat mats do not cover the centre part of the floor. The rear cargo mat is no...
  20. Canada ordering

Hi, yes, small world! Great choice in colour - LCM. Yes, the white one was likely mine. I was on a waitlist (number eight)and an extra Type S came up. Said they would only sell it to someone who had a trade-in. Two people on the list backed out. I got a good price for my trade-in - did some...
