That would be correct. it was a DIY. You have to unbolt the sway bar on BOTH sides. before you'll be able to fandangle the strut back into the assembly.
Also don't be afraid to twist and turn the strut itself.. it is on its own bearing so you can turn it with a good grip.
Hi,
Seeing that i have the Alcantara steering wheel, and not a huge fan of the OEM shift knob, i'd like to swap it for either a leather or most likely alcantara round weighted knob instead. I'll be honest, i find the OEM a little too small, not round enough, and a bit scratchy. Like the...
i just did my first oil change a couple of days ago. Mileage was only at 2351, it may be considered a little overkill. But Costco was doing some specials on Mobil 1 0W-20 Advanced Full Synthetic 6qrts AP-SN (which our cars call for AP.. Anyway the oil cost for i can't exactly remember but around...
So i installed them last night along with doing a tire rotation. They're not bugging me at all. Maybe on a couple of angles. I hit the car with a good few different angles on the camera, to get a good feel for them, and truth be told, i definitely don't dislike them. Actually now looking at...
Here's mine. I just installed the mudflaps last night, which i was on the fence about as i love the look without them. i'll take some more pics to compare to see if i'll keep them. Mind you it is nice to know i'm better protected against stone chips. I'm lowered on eibach pro's with bonoss...
Very true. im only here cos VW is stopping the manual. I have admittedly been a vw fanboy til they starting turning into weirdos. Buying the type S was my FU to them. Appliance like experience, taking away the manual GTI, droopy faces, very woke social media BS, (logo was the pride flag for...
good to know guys. i figured the above... its really seeing the carbon metallic type s's that prompted me to get them (as well as protection from stone chips) but as a general rule i don't like mud flaps, only time i've actually liked them was seeing them on the carbon metallic type s, and...
I have a brand new set here waiting for install. The only thing that is making me hesitant from installing is, what if i don't like them? I know the fronts are easily reversable, however the rears, look like you have to cut into the rear fender, and that clip looks like it really digs into the...
Every time i turn my car on, i get, as I'm sure we all do, that data sharing notification.
Be that as it may, i went to go turn data sharing to off, and it said, nope, not without a valid signal or along those lines. TBH i can't exactly remember what it said when i went to turn it off.
Anyway...
So my new Type S that i bought in Jan24 came with the copper wheels new as a factory installed add-on and thanks to the good folk on these forums, someone suggested i go back to the dealer and ask for the originals. So i did, and the sneaky SOBs had them stashed away in the back in a box...
I did the other day, when i was in there to plug my tire and get my alignment. They said they couldn't do it. Not sure if its cos it literally can't be done using an Acura Dealership diagnostic machine, or they didn't want the liability. He did say you could get one of those clips for the...
Nice, i have one of those kits, where you can de-pin most wires from 'most' automotive plugs. (after a rat ate through a bunch of wires) Perhaps this weekend, i can de-pin that wire/connector and see what happens. If i de-pin, and its the wrong wire,, I can just push it back in. Right now...
As a life long motorcycle rider, please there's no need to warn me of the risks.. i'm fully aware. I'll be fine of unbuckling my seatbelt WHEN ITS SAFE TO DO SO!!!, but i don't want is to be told off by my car. i've always found a way to code it out, however this is my first Honda car and so...
I really really REALLU like the graphite wheels. Having the piano black trim and shine to the wheels pulls everything together, so the flaps compliment the car if anything. WHereas with the copper i just don't know yet til i see it in person. But at least i now know if i keep / swap / my...
So here's a couple of pics, now everything is all said and done. I also photoshopped the wheels to make them darker to imitate the graphite oems. I actually have both sets and will be selling one set..
Now that i have the eibach pro's i can safely say my ride is perfect. I can't fault it. I keep it on individual, with Sport + on Engine, Comfort on suspension, and Comfort on Steering.. Sometimes i'll flick it in Sport + Not feeling any bounce. TBH it feels very much like OEM. As i said, i...
