If you figure out how to do it, please post. I haven't seen anything like this for the Integra yet aside from diagnostic / service mode type things. VW was super customizable and let you change all kinds of things from the hill assist sensitivity to light behavior to hidden menus in the...
I can completely relate haha. That was in part another reason why I stopped using the brake hold. Although I feel that if people care enough that you drive manual, they likely know that the Type S only comes in manual.
Regarding the hill assist, I previously had a Jetta and a GTI that both had...
I don't think it needs to have been put in gear. The brake pedal needs to be pressed when you engage it. Just get into the habit of turning it on every time you start the car. You'll even feel cool like in movies where they flip a bunch of switches prior to taking off on a plane.
I have my own...
Did the error messages go away after a short drive and power cycling the car a few times? This is normal behavior when disconnecting the battery. Not sure why the steering rack would cause error messages.
I unfortunately was unable the find the pinout diagram I had. But I did find some useful pictures in this thread that I remember reading to get information before I did my mirror install. https://www.civicxi.com/forum/threads/plug-and-play-homelink-mirror-for-fl5-1-hr-install.51749/page-4
The Integra actually shares more with the Civic than it does with other Acuras.
Regarding the wiring, there's a pinout somewhere in a Civic forum for the connector that goes to the back of the Civic/Integra's mirror harness - I'll have to see if I can find it. Alternatively, you can go in with...
Holy crap! I just checked my address and they definitely did raise prices on shipping. Now to my house (Chicago area) it's $232 from alldiscountparts. I'm wondering if it's worth it to call the number on their site and ask them why it's so expensive to ship it when less than a year ago (June...
I guess for me it's not as big a deal, but I could definitely see it being extra useful in @Spart's case where you have multiple hazards while pulling in. One less thing to worry about.
I'm either on CarPlay or radio. Worst case, with radio it's 4 clicks, but the part I hate the most is having to take your eyes off the road to look at what you're doing. And then what happens if your internet is down or your device is not responding for some reason?
With the HomeLink buttons, I...
I added a similar solution (RATGDO + Home Assistant + CarPlay) to my garage. That said, I still mainly use the HomeLink buttons because it's a one-click solution. I would hate to have to pull out my phone every time I come home, or have to look at the screen and potentially have up to 4 screen...
@chad75 Yes, don't fall into the illusion that a part is better just because it's sold by Acura or more expensive. You'll find that if you look closely at many parts in the Integra, they will have Honda branding. Even the rubber mat at the bottom of the armrest storage is Honda labeled and says...
$200+ seems pretty steep. I bought that part last summer from alldiscountparts for $74.20 including tax and shipping. Had to look around a few places though because it was on backorder and some of the dealers were just flat out canceling my order. I ended up keeping the lid from the Integra...
Can confirm. I used the Accord harness and mine is powered even when the car is off. I agree about the safety thing, so if you're worried about that, either wire it with the jumper, or you may need to de-pin and move some wires around on the Accord harness if you go that route.
If you go with the Civic one, the only mod you'll have to make is to add a jumper wire from the +12V signal for the mirror dimming control to power the HomeLink buttons. But like others have said, it has a frame, so the Accord mirror is the better route if you want to retain the OEM look of the...
