I have both my Integra and my wife’s 2021 RAV4 coated with Ceramic Pro. I didn’t do the job myself, had a local detailer do the work. Very happy with the results, easy to keep the car clean. I take it in once a year for a refresh. Still have to wax the Miata every now and then.
Yup, I got this 3 weeks after I got the car. I took it in and they tested the battery and put it on a charger overnight. Since then all has been good. I attribute this to the car sitting on the lot from December to April and I was only driving it once or twice a week on short trips. After...
My last car was a Subaru Impreza, the more upright rear window would get covered quickly on sloppy days with a slush/salt mixture, so a rear wiper was a necessity if you wanted to see anything out the back. I’m not worried about rain, that should shed off with speed. Time will tell. I do...
Having owned mostly hatchbacks over the last 50 years they have always come with a rear wiper. So when I was taking a test drive I attempted to activate the rear wiper only to find that there wasn’t one. A little surprised since the Civic hatchback comes with a rear wiper. I suppose the...
Rev hang has been around for a while. My 1976 BMW 2002 had a dash pot on the carburetor to slow down the revs dropping. Easy solution, remove dash pot. Unfortunately it’s buried in the electronics now and would require reprograming of the ECU.
I only have 1200 miles on my A Spec Tech CVT and have had no issues with the brakes. Even during break in there shouldn’t be any noises. It was lazy of the dealer/tech to just replace the pads and rotors and not dig into what is making the noise. If it still making a noise, albeit different...
I did let the dealer do all the DMV paper work and get the plates (NYS). But I always check my DMV account online to be sure that it actually got registered and check back in every now and then to make sure that the title gets sent to me. If given the chance the dealer will screw it up.
Does the Integra, well all Hondas, really use 5W30 weight transmission fluid? I ask because my Miata uses 75W90 GL4-5. Seems like a significant difference.
Interesting, just checked my A-Spec/Tech and the sensor type is different than the ITS. It’s a standard rubber schrader valve, same type of sensor I had on my Subaru (not sure why I still have a picture of this, it’s from 8 years ago, need to clean out photo library). I guess the rims selected...
Actually I’m surprised that it’s a washer and not a rubber o-ring. Here’s a picture of my Miata sensor which is the same type that you have. So it does appear that the washer will go on the inside. With that said if you’re bringing in the rims to have the tires put on why not let the tire...
Yes, no adhesives involved. There should be a gasket, I think I see one when I blow up the picture, but not sure. Tire shop will have gaskets, but they should come with the sensors.
Nah, doesn’t look as good and doesn’t have the adjustable suspension. For just going around town or long highway drives I have the individual settings on comfort for the suspension and normal for everything else. If I’m on smooth backroads ( and alone) I’ll bump it up to sport.
With the ”magic seats” folded down, the low floor height and the wide hatch opening you could ”fit” a lot of stuff in a Fit. I picked up a whole bathroom with that car, the vanity, granite countertop, sink, toilet, medicine cabinet and a cabinet for over the toilet and still had room to spare...
As the title says I’m now joining another car forum. I’ve been lurking here since March and purchased a 2024 Liquid Carbon Metallic w/black interior A-Spec Tech the last day of March. It’s a CVT (hear me out), I did go in with purchasing of a manual in mind. Every car I’ve owned, dating back...
