My Integra is my winter beater (just kidding, sort of). Waiting to get my Miata out, so I know the feeling.

Almost half way there. April 1st couldn't come fast enough, I miss driving it.

How are the others who store their ITS's holding up?
I have three collector cars in temporary hibernation for the winter but had planned to be driving the ITS. However, we've had two snowstorms in a row (a lot for SE VA) and the roads have an insane amount of salt. They brine the roads here, and it dries into a salty dust that flies up into a cloud when driven on. No way am I taking a nice car out there now. I'll wait until after the next sigificant rain before the ITS sees action.

Get a good quality battery maintainer which will automatically charge whenever needed, but is NOT a dumb trickle charger.
On the topic of quality battery tenders/maintainers, could someone recommend some brands/products that would work well with Teggy's battery?

I have a Battery Tender brand for over 15 years and use it every winter for my Miata battery. Still working. Not sure which model, probably been replaced by another model after all these years.

You must be talking about the 757. I grew up there. I never understood the sand/brine whatever the hell it was they put on the roads... it didn't seem to work worth a shit to me- although I'd have to think it's better than salt for rust. You can work out whatever micro-scratches that crap would leave with a quick buff, but actual rust would be much harder to deal with.

Back on topic- I've started my spring plans already. Car is at the shop as I type this for the intake/inlet tube install plus lower ball joints to finally get my camber where I want it to be for this upcoming autocross season. Wheels/Tires will probably go back on late March.

I use the NOCO GENIUS1. Relatively inexpensive for what it offers. 99.9% sure you can leave it running all winter but I flip it on for 6-12h every 2 weeks for peace of mind.

With that said, one more month and I'll be back on the road :spaz:

Tomorrow is the start of the 2025 season.

Sad part is that the weather is still pretty bad, might get a chance to drive it on Thursday though.

Queue Aerosmith's Back in the Saddle.

Is everyone else who stored theirs out of the winter misery yet?

Broke it out the Saturday before this past one.. it was 60+, sunny, and the roads were multiple rainstorms clear of salt... it's since snowed / hailed (and briefly accumulated) twice, and the roads / parking lots are once again covered in salt 😭

A brief taste of joy! Back to waiting...

I was up in Bangor over the weekend to see my son, it was a great day Saturday. After hearing the weather report I left very early Monday morning to beat the chaos. Still waiting to get my Miata out of the barn, maybe next week. In upstate NY we’ve had a lot of rain to wash the salt off the roads, hoping to NOT see the salt trucks again.
