Hello All,

I'm pretty familiar with the process of brake fluid flushes as that is well documented online.

I'm more concerned with how to perform a clutch fluid flush. From the owners manual it looks like the braking system and clutch use the same fluid.

From what I've read online it looks like the procedure to flush the clutch lines is the exact same for brake fluid (with the exception of pumping the clutch pedal instead of the brake pedal of course).

I just wanted to ask here to double check if that is the case as I can't find any info on performing clutch fluid flushes specific to the 11th gen Civic SI/ 5th gen Integra.
Additionally if there is anyone who has already performed a brake/clutch fluid flush and has any advice on the procedure specific to the Integra, I'd love to hear it.

Lastly, would someone be able to confirm if the image below is in fact the bleeder valve for the clutch?

EDIT: The owners manual says to use Acura "Heavy Duty" Brake Fluid DOT3 but I can't find the "Heavy Duty" variant anywhere online. Anyone have a link or P/N for the OEM fluid?

I used Honda dot 3 from a Honda dealer to bleed my clutch. Figured Acura and Honda uses the same fluid.
That is the bleader valve for the clutch.

If it's the same fluid, wouldn't it eventually work its way through the system each time you do a brake flush? Or are the systems not really connected with each other?

Yes, what you have circled is the bleeder for the clutch slave. You are also correct that the brakes and clutch use the same fluid reservoir, so it would make no sense trying to use a different fluid for one or the other.

Personally I use a pressure bleeding system and it makes the process a lot quicker and simpler even with only one person.

You'll find a lot of folks upgrade to DOT 4 at the first flush, but that's totally up to you. DOT 3 is perfectly fine for street use, and lasts longer than 4 to boot.
