$500 deposit to reserve Integra Type S on Acura.com starting May

Dealer just called me. May 11th, online orders, $2,000 dollar deposit. He doesn’t know what time of day.

I did the initial reservation for my Aspec. It notified dealer of the options and color you want. The dealer then confirmed everything with me and placed the factory order. This is what was said happened. Not sure what was true or not but I received my car 6/1/22.

I did exactly this and got my car on 6/30/22.

Correct. That had changed since my original comment. The dealers still tell me they aren't aware of that & it shouldn't be necessary. They said that even after I text him the screenshot. Either way - as long as I can secure one of the first 200 allocated in LCM/red before the lottery is over, the deposit amount is fine with me. I have a YouTube page & SCCA membership just waiting in limbo.

Good luck yourself!! I did receive a glimmer of hope from one of the dealers today. I was the first to inquire at this dealer before Acura even announced it publicly & the sales manager (who used to be a Honda Master Mechanic which is cool ) said today that they DID have 10 deposits, & now they are down to 5 which is the exact amount they are being allocated the rest of the year. So

The other dealer (which has still been good to work with so far as well) told me that I'm #16 on their list of folks with deposits & that they will be allocated more than the other dealer due to their sheer volume, but not sure how many they will get.

sounds hopeful ... 200 is soooo few for the whole country though. can't wait to see how many people are successful on here. i'm guessing it'll sell out in less than 5 minutes. i just hope they don't drop it at a significantly different time because my job doesn't allow me to sit and wait while refreshing ... thought about employing a friend to help me ...

also - if they're doing 50 of each kind, i wonder if people can try their #1 color choice but it's full, will they be able to try another color combo immediately? or is there a chance that a few colors fill up and they never sell all of the tiger eye (for instance......... lol) ... i'm thinking AB, LC, Blk, Tiger eye ... my desirability drops off pretty fast after #1 because either the paint or the interior are relatively low on my list of combos.

I know, I dislike this whole process FOR SURE. My plan is to take a few hours off while sitting somewhere with a super stable connection & keep refreshing. Neat. Best of luck to you!

I agree. Why not 500? Still an exclusive amount. And at least that means more than 1 per dealer across the US (274 Acura dealers I just read).
