I review items for Amazon, they sent me this $400 massage/heated seat cushion thing a while back that I was planning to try in my car for long drives.

I had this massage seat cushion but wasn't able to get it to work a few months ago when it came, so it has been sitting.
Today I decided to give it another shot and discovered I had missed a tiny little hidden power button last time, now it came right on and works great, it offers 4 different massage types and three different intensities plus 2 stages of heat.
The only thing I don't like about it is that it doesn't have any red contrast stitching to match my interior, lol..
A lot of people give me grief over my choices with my car and I find it funny, I mean I am the only one who see's it.
Anyway, thought I'd share, it isn't something I will keep in the car unless we are going away for a trip or a long, extended drive, but then, it is nice to know it works, feels great and looks good too.

Do you have a link to it? I have a cheap $70 one that I got on ebay awhile back because I do 1200 mile drives halfway across the continent a few times a year. It has those shiatsu nodes that go up and down your back and is pretty powerful. The ebay one is actually pretty decent when it's massaging you but it's pretty uncomfortable to just sit on when it's inactive. I would pay more for one that is actually comfortable to sit on when it is not massaging.

Amazon.com: Laxon Air Massage Vehicle Seat | Car Seat Cover, Leather Cushions for Driving, Slim Comfy Design (Black) : Automotive

I just used it for the firs time.
IT has some great points and one shortcoming.

The bad is, it sits you a little high in the seat, you wouldn't think so looking at it, it isn't very thick, yet there was a significant different in seating position.

Now, today I am home from work with a bad back, it is killing me, so to be honest, it was nice being a little higher, I was able to get in and out of the car easier.
Once I was in, I tweaked my seat settings a little and it was fine, but still a little higher than I am used to normally.
Otherwise, it was great.
The remote is simple and works great, the heat was really good, two stage heating and it got hotter than the car seats normally do.
The air bags it has are great, I set it to do a 25-minute massage and drove around, then parked for a few minutes and let it finish, it has two settings for parked and two or three settings for driving.
They were all very good, both in the back or the seat part.
You can disable either or let them both massage, so it lets you choose any combination.
My back was really hurting, and it felt great!!
I'm super glad I got it and when I have bad back days it will definitely get used.
also noticed it is much less expensive now than it was when they sent it to me, it was $499 and now, $299.

I didn't take any yesterday, I'll try to get a few today and post them up of it in my car.
Thanks, also how thick is the bottom pad. I'm a lil over 6'2 and don't want a pad that's sitting me up too high in the car. I have my seat almost all the way down as is.

Same, I'm 6'3" 235 lbs, I sit low in the car, so when I added this, it left me high in the seat, higher than I would normally ride, but because my back hurt so bad, I tolerated it and it was worth it as it felt great.
but I would remove it as soon as I don't plan to use it while driving, because I do prefer to sit lower.
the cushion is less than half an inch, but that little bit really makes a difference.
this seat cushion though, comes with an AC adapter and can be used in the house as well as the car, so it can still be very useful.
