update: no good offers to trade in my car for, I’m keeping it and getting a crosstrek when I can. Best offer I got was 44k 😅
Yea i feel like the hype went down alot havent seen AMV's go higher than 5k around here recently and used Type R's on car gurus going for 46k/47k... i paid 50k OTD (just about 5k over ) back in July and acura dealership wouldnt budge higher than 43k which is the KBB fair trade value 🤷🏽‍♂️ sucks- no hastle getting Integra TS at MSRP and so happy with it already put 200 miles on it haha!!

After about a month of driving the FL5, my only regret about not waiting for an ITS is the exhaust note. I still haven't heard an aftermarket exhaust for the FL5 that is half as good as the stock ITS exhaust. Plus the different size tips looks dumb. Also anyone considering an FL5 better be damn sure they like the seats. Also how will your main front seat passenger like them. I got lucky and they are perfect for my 6ft 190lb frame. When I get in I wedge my back into the seat and am solidly locked in but if I was 15 lbs heavier I'm guessing I would not fit right.

That was my worry with the seats... do I prefer them? Yes -- emphatically. Will my passenger? It's likely they won't, and if they're heavier, it could really be an issue; those bolsters are stiff.

I haven't had a chance to sit in the Type R but everyone who has raved about the seats have slimmer builds. I'm pretty sure they wouldn't work for me because of that, I have 40+ lbs on you. I wish my ITS seats were more unique looking but for a daily driver they are comfortable.

Also 6' and 190lb and totally agree--they're fantastic at this size, but add 15lb (or a heavy winter coat) and they're SNUG. They're not something every passenger will appreciate.

Check out the MBRP exhaust (https://unity-performance.com/produ...-civic-type-r-fl5?_pos=1&_sid=865dbc032&_ss=r). With the bypass installed, it's slightly (pleasantly) more aggressive than the DE5 exhaust. With the Honda 93 Octane tune, I get a nice amount of burble--I haven't tried it with their pops and bangs setting. With the extra resonator, I imagine it's indistinguishable from the DE5 exhaust. You get both the resonator and bypass with the kit, and the included tips are all identical in size at the outlet (4.5").

glad to hear it! Honestly, if we’re to get our money back on these things it’ll be down the road. I’m not too big on losing money for no reason, so I’d rather lose money to have fun! It’s great to own this car. I’m definitely not hurt about having to get another car to supplement my needs rather than replace my Type S
