Hello all, to begin I want to state that I’m at 17y/o looking for advice with upgrades.

I own a 23’ Acura Integra CVT and am wondering if these upgrades are smart for what I have. I want a more responsive feeling and would like to have more fun with a louder(ish) sounding car since, I don’t want to be annoying on the streets with a fartcan.

- 27won downpipe (should i get front pipe?)
- ktuner
- intake

Thank you!

New Integra is a nice car for a 17 year old, congrats. You'll have better responses in the regular forums since this is the Type-S section. Maybe @Administrator can move it.

Personally, no, I would trade the car in for an A spec tech pack, get yourself the 6 speed, this is one of if not the best manual shift you can get in any car out under 100k$ today.
This is where all the engagement is.
I would start there, trade up to a manual shift, then see what you have and from there decide what to upgrade.
this is just my opinion of course so take it with a grain of salt.

An Integra is a great first enthusiast car. I think the base Integra/Si is so quiet that a moderate exhaust wouldn't be too troublesome. But what you've listed is a good start. Just be careful to not let the quest for mods consume you- it's easier than you think to just start "modding for the sake of modding". Unless you're made of money, invest wisely in your mods and exercise self-control.

I would second the encouragement to get a 6 speed, but ultimately that's a personal decision. If you like your car who are we to tell you what to get- but if you haven't had the pleasure of learning to drive a manual yet, give it a shot. You may find it's worth the trouble to switch.

Manual also gets you an LSD, which is a significant performance benefit, and it's far more reliable.
