While you said your wife would kick you and the wheels out if you were to have 2 sets of tires, but if you have a garage to store the ITS in, you could technical have another set of wheels & tires for summer or winter. If your garage walls are not being used for anything, you could mount your wheels there without taking up any useable space since you can mount out of the way.

Definitely an option if you want to run summer and winter tires dependent on the time of the year. If you were to get winter tires now, you could keep an eye on the member classifieds for OEM wheels for sale with summer tires already installed.

You may need to adjust the tire sizing to get more options (ie; 255/35/19 or something to that affect).

Winter specific tires that I know are good are as follows;

- Vredestein Wintrac Pro
- Michelin Alpin series
- Bridgestone Blizzak series

Each of these typically have mail in rebates and are in stock at Tire Rack (depending on size). Tire Rack ships incredibly fast (Usually within 24 hours of ordering if in-stock)

🙏

I am a bit surprised that my dealer didn’t really suggest a set of winter tires for ITS. It almost seems as if they think getting a set of all season or winter tires are not needed in the DMV area. I suppose I can just drive the OEM tires until I ruin them and then get a new set again if and when I need it. The cost of getting a new set of rims and tires vs using the current set until I bust them is almost the same.

Perhaps the only drawback is the traction and safety. But again I saw a video of this guy driving his Shelby GT pretty hard in a freezing temperature.

I am in a rabbit hole now and let me climb out of it first.
