Need a nice carpeted rear trunk/hatch mat. Was thinking Lloyd Mats. Is the Type S the exact fitment as the 2023 Standard Integra?

It is. I ordered standard Integra Tuxmats for mine, and they fit fine.

Another plug for TuxMats--I don't know Lloyd Mats, but after one set of TuxMats, I'm not bothering with OEM all-season mats/trays or Husky Mats/WeatherTech again.

I get that they are good, for me I just prefer a thick carpeted mat in the back for a variety of reasons, and I think Lloyd Mats makes a good one. You can do lots of customization with colors and carpet pile types as well.

I bought TuxMats for the interior. Do you know if anyone makes something to cover the TuxMats logo? I saw StickerFab has them for WeatherTech mats and asked for measurements but never heard back.

I bought the aluminum dead pedal cover, which blocks the only TuxMat logo I was overly concerned about (aka the one in my 25% of the car!), but I haven't seen any options for covering the other logos.

If there's a want, I'm sure there are plenty of makers who can put something together fairly easily!

I was going to buy the dead pedal cover but thought it would have to go on the actual dead pedal. You stuck it on the floor mat...? If this works may go that route.

Example for the logo cover.

Yep! I stuck mine to the dead pedal on the DE5, and got TuxMats for the FL5 and stuck that one to the mat. The tape is concerningly strong, I imagine it'd stick to just about anything. 😆

I like this idea & love that it actually sticks!

This thing would stick to most dogs, spouses... probably even the bottom of a swimming pool, if necessary. Unless Mat changes the kind of tape he uses, you should have no trouble applying it to a mat.

May I ask what makes them better over OEM?

The best part of the OEM floor mat is the branding (2”x5” plastic or metal emblem on the 2 front mats, depending on the one you get). They protect the floor, no sidewall coverage, and they don’t cover the hump in the rear. They’re made of a thick-ish rubber. They’re going to scratch and discolor (many mats have this issue), but the biggest problem (for me, at least) is the minimal sidewall coverage.

Husky and Weathertech give you more sidewall coverage, and cover the hump in the rear. They’re a rigid rubberized plastic, which will scratch (though it’s difficult) and they can discolor if they’re not taken care of (like if exposed to snow sludge + salt).

TuxMats give you maximum sidewall coverage (this is best appreciated/tested in the FL5 where no red carpeting can be seen when they’re in place). I expect they’ll be more resistant to scratching and discoloration as they’re a heavy rubberized mystery textile.

The OEM trunk mat has a larger (rubberized) emblem, but no sidewall protection. Maximum protection in the trunk may be less critical for some, but when the prices are basically the same, it’s a trade off between branding and protection.

Thank you so much. That all made perfect sense. I got the Acura all weathers myself atm but it'll be something to consider. Thank you sir

I used the OEM all-weather mats for a year with occasional slushy driving, and the front carpeting was largely unscathed--the rear carpeting took on more debris because I have a kid who constantly snacks in the car.
