Has anyone else receive emails from your dealers about low battery charge? The sender is "Acura_Service@em.acura.com"

  1. Not sure if this just a gimmick from my local Acura dealer,
  2. or are our cars actively sending data to dealers?

Yup, I got this 3 weeks after I got the car. I took it in and they tested the battery and put it on a charger overnight. Since then all has been good. I attribute this to the car sitting on the lot from December to April and I was only driving it once or twice a week on short trips. After that I turned off Auto stop/start, that’s got to be a big drain around town when it’s activating every few minutes. Also in the individual settings I turned off Data Sharing.

I get this occasionally and took it in and the service manager said these battery notifications are buggy and not accurate. My battery was fine, so not sure why I ever received the notifications. They told me to ignore the battery one. Doesn't feel good to hear that you can't rely on these notifications.

I am getting the same email. Just tested the battery and it reads 12.4 v.
