I've got a '24 A-Spec Manual and love the cars. The wheels not so much. I'm considering buying the OEM 19" and wanted to get some recommendations on size. 235/40/19, 235/35/19, 245/35/19 or 255/35/19. I had the 255s on an Audi A5 and they looked great. Tire that I want to purchase is the Continental DWS 06+.

Do you know the wheel dimensions ? Is it’s still 8in or 8.5in or 9? That also plays a role on fitment

255/35r19 gives you a 1.15% speedo error
265/35r19 gives you 0.09% speedo error

so 265/35 would be closer to stock, but 255/35 is close enough as well. 265/35 is used for a 9in wheel width min. a 255/35 uses a 8.5in wheel width min.

It's a 19X8 wheel. I went to Tire Rack and looked at optional wheels and they had a 19 size at 235/35/19. Just seems like you could go wider for a beefier look.

I’m wondering the same thing because the 19 in wheels are my next upgrade and I would like to have them beefier to fill the gap. People selling them on eBay have 235/35/19, so I know that works, but I wonder if going wider on the sidewall will affect the adaptive dampers.

Thanks Greg. I didn't consider the adaptive dampers. I guess it's 235 then, I trust Tire Rack and I know that is the size on some of the Honda Accords that are running 19" wheels. I assume it's because it's only an 8" wheel. I like the 19" design much more than the stock A-Spec wheels.

I have run the following on my Aspec.
Stock 235 40 18 on 18x8 et50. Diam 25.4"
RE71R 265 40 18 on 18x8 et50. Diam 26.3"
RE71RS 245 40 19 on 19x8 et48. Diam 26.7"
Bridgestone Sport 255 35 20 on 20x8.5 et36. Diam 27.0"

See my build thread.
No issues with the dampers.
However, the 20" extra tall tires do rub fenders on big bumps.
I like the extra sidewall for rim protection.
I like the extra sidewall for filling the stock height wheel gap.
I like the extra width for autocross grip.

The 19 inch OEM wheels are so heavy, probably at least 30 lbs. if you can go aftermarket. I went with 18x9 +35 with 245 40 series Hankooks. Weighing in at less than 19lbs a wheel I saved nearly 19 lbs a corner over the stock 18 inch OEM wheels
