Hey all, starting a thread to document everything we do to our DE5 shop car before we really start going heavy into it!

It is not personally owned by me, but by one of my really great friends and customers, Aneil, whom I did a complete FC1 build with but we sadly didn't document it from start to finish, before parting out the car when the ITS came.

I'll let Aneil do the talking because he truly is the Unity Hypeman! He's got the biggest heart and personality, so the UNITYDE5 plate is well deserved :)

Mod List:
APR Carbon Lip
PRL HVI
PRL Inlet
ECU Unlocked on-site by DRob
HRE Wheels 19x9.5 +40

Second round of upgrades calls for more Exterior Mods!

G4werkz Carbon Bumper Bezels
G4werkz Carbon Trunk Spoiler

The Trunk Spoiler went on beautifully, no issues with fitment and excellent product quality. We did struggle a bit with the Bezels, only because of the APR Lip extends over the factory bumper. If you don't have the APR Lip, or get the G4werkz Lip instead you won't encounter fitment issues. Solved the fitment by adding an additional self-tapping screw at the bottom of the lip on each side to pull it back up. Won't say it's ideal but it'll work.

Overall impressed with G4werkz quality, and likely will switch over to the G4werkz Lip to display the full catalog as we are an authorized dealer :)

What's next:

Hondata FlashPro sitting the shelf, haven't paired it up yet.

RV6 is coming out with a catalog of new parts, so we are on hold for the following:

R660AS Turbocharger for the FL5/DE5 (open for pre-order)
RV6 Intercooler (December - January ETA release)
RV6 GESi Downpipe ?? (standard Cat DP's have always been available, but with the recent release of GESi-equipped 1.5T DP's from RV6, the chances of seeing a 2.0T variant are high). If one doesn't come out, we'll go with the standard RV6 Downpipe
RV6 Frontpipe 3" upgrade, sounds a bit deeper than factory FP

So we know from our FK8 and FL5, that the factory fuel system will tap out between 420-430whp, and that the upgrade to an aftermarket system is a must. PRL FlexFuel Kit has always been good but has its limits, loving the new Hondata CANFlex however with its ease of use, so that's what we'll go with as well since I already have the PRL version on my FK8.

There's 4 options for HPFP's:

1) Hondata Fuel System. Cheapest option, 24% more flow and it'll make healthy power up to 520-530 whp from what I've seen. If anyone's seen higher numbers, feel free to share. I have it on my FK8 (Kuro, bolt-ons, E35) and put down 470/420 on E35, and 426/393 on E35

2) Hondata Fuel System Plus. Recent release, 50% more fuel delivery over stock. At first, the new 1530CC injectors were only reserved for the Plus, but it seems Hondata has also upgraded the standard system's 1427cc's to 1530CC, which is good news. Addition of the Camshaft as well

3) XDI Evo HPFP + Injectors. High Pressure Fuel Pump + 1,400cc injectors have been a go-to for a long time, and the 2,000cc injectors are now also compatible with Hondata FlashPro. I spoke with XDI this morning, and they verified that 2,500cc will work work FlashPro but aren't stable with pump gas, so the recommendation is to run E85 only. We've seen JSR Engines put down 572/459 with the XDI Evo + 2,000cc injectors on their time attack FL5

4) Full-Race HPFP. Currently the largest HPFP on the market, and seeing guys pair it with Hondata 1530cc injectors. @Car00071 got this setup from us last month + Hondata CANFlex, and has been working with @JesterTuned to dial it in. We're looking forward to his results with both the stock turbo, and whichever upgraded unit he decides to go with next :)

All-in all if we're able to make 450/410 on 93, and 550/490 on Ethanol we'll have achieved where we'd want to be on this build in terms of power goals. We will try to get there by Spring - Summer 2025.
