What's the best way to remove the Vinyl under the Rear Emblem?

I want to remove the black vinyl under the rear Acura emblem and apply gloss black plastidip on it. Looking to save some money instead of buying a $50 rear emblem. Whats the best way of getting rid of the black sticker under the badge itself?

Once you remove the emblem, the black vinyl can be peeled off by hand. Just get a fingernail under an edge and then it peels right off. There’s no adhesive to deal with.
