Paying close to 60k before tax for what is basically a FL5 without some features I would truly miss like the +r clauster mode and the sport bucket and change those for some feature I donā€™t really care like a HUD is hard. This sound system and exhaust needs to be crazy good to justify this price hike šŸ˜‚

it's more for those who will daily it and wont really track their cars, definitely more creature comforts and features, ELS, heated seats, HUD, more sound deadening, etc..
I forget what MSRP and PDI is for CTR but Acura priced it right for us Canadians.

Its 6250$ more than a CTRā€¦ but the CTR is pretty expensive to begin withā€¦ I mean nice if you see 58k value in this carā€¦I mean I can see it tooā€¦ but still a very Honda 2023 high price vs the market if you ask me.

According to the inflation calculator, 41k back in 2017 (CTR was 40,890 CAD) is now ~49k. so CTR is "only" just slightly more expensive thanit was back in 2017. Still expensive but roughly in line with inflation. but ya I agree not everyone will see the value proposition of Acura but given the fact that I couldnt even put a deposit down last week due to my local dealership having too many orders.. I think Acura will have no problem selling these. I luckily have a deposit at at local honda dealer and in no rush to get a car.. so I will see what happens (with both honda and acura)

After conversion that is $9k USD less in Canada. What am I missing here, is this normal or is that strange?

Its a little bit strangeā€¦ but in my opinion its the usd price that make no senseā€¦ theres no way Acura could have asked an over 60k msrp with transport and PDI for a FWD in Canadaā€¦ in the states people already pay 52k daily for a type R at stealership so they tried to push the price upā€¦

Fair point. We kept paying the markup on Type R and that likely helped drive up the MSRP decision for Acura. Sigh.
