I'm scheduled for tint installation on Friday, and I'm split between leaving the windshield as-is or tinting it with the rest of the car--would anyone with a tinted windshield in their Integra care to share a picture or two? Curious to know your recommendations on percentage as well. The rest of the car will be tinted at 20%.

I'm in Ohio (tinted windshields aren't legal here, already aware) and do mostly residential/rural driving. Cracks and chips in the windshield aren't a big concern. The tint shop is highly recommended, and the owner was aware of the HUD as soon as I said "Integra". He says they've done 50+ and haven't run into any issues with the HUD, noting it shows up even better with a tinted windshield--he says they just take a little longer to install, but he's confident they can install without damaging any of the electronics.

I'm curious about 70% (the tint installer says this is completely invisible but keeps out heat) or 50% (I'd like some darkness without drawing too much attention and without making nighttime driving hazardous).

Unfortunately I don't have a photo but f this car for you just quite yet but it'll be the first thing I do.

I do have photos of my white truck which is 5% rears, 20% front, 50% windshield.

& photos of my old truck that is 20% all around with 50% windshield.

I don't think it will quite telegraph photographically from one vehicle to the other but I'll post them anyway in case it might help.

That's very helpful, actually! I'm surprised by how dark 50% actually looks on the windshield--I'm curious if 70% is truly as colorless as the installer claims.

Here is 70 percent on the windshield. With all the other windows tinted it makes it look even darker.

They are actually 20 percent in the rear and 35 percent in the front. The LED lighting in the shop makes them look darker.

Agh ok that 50% looks pretty sweet on the FL5... Boost Blue isn't for me, personally, but it sure looks great here!

I assume you don't have nightime visibility issues with the 70% on the Integra... but how's the drive at night in the FL5 with 50%?

Nighttime vision will be a bit subjective, but I have good vision and have no issues seeing out of the windshield at night. I have had 50% on my windshields for the last three vehicles. I do the ceramic as well & the combo helps so much for heat. Hopefully someone local can help you out in seeing what it's like in person.

The installer warned me that once I drive a vehicle with a tinted windshield, I'll never want one without it... curious to see if he's right!

Here are a few pics of my car with 15% ceramic all around and 70% windshield. It offers good privacy through the front without being overly obvious. Also, ceramic is the key to keep the heat out.

Type S in the house!
I'm running 70% windshield and 30% on the rest.
Now I need to do it again..
