First attempt at wrapping anything with vinyl. Was a little impatient and rushed it a bit. Not happy with some of the corners but you can't see them.

Before and After photos.

Just YouTubed how to apply Vinyl Wrap. Bought some off of Amazon. Already had a heat gun and just went at it.

Hey! I am trying this with my car. Did you have to remove the trim to wrap it or you just wrapped it on the car?

was it easy to remove ? any tips
i had to remove mine to replace it with the alcantara wrapped one you can buy (which i think looks much better than the cf tape and is an exact match to the shift boot)- it was a pretty big pain for me. first you have to remove the shfit knob, which just unscrews off, but there is a locking nut underneath of it which you have to loosen with a wrench. for some people they were able to take that nut off with their fingers, but mine had been put on with threadlocker or something and i had to wrench it the entire way off and then the entire way back on when i was done and it was a HUGE PAIN. it was literally tearing the threads of the shift lever.

as for the actual trim piece, you can just pry it up with your fingers and there are some phillips head screws and 2 electrical connectors to remove which hold on the drive mode buttons and the parking brake (one of the electrical connectors was kind of a pain to remove as one of the clips that releases it wasn't easy to depress), and after disconnecting that you have to separate the shift boot bracket which is attached to the center trim piece with pretty small plastic clips. these were also kind of a pain to get loose. putting it all back together was much easier, granted you don't have the problem with the shift knob locking nut
