Present it to them in a logical way. Point out that a new car with transport and PDI is 10 miles worth, they put 40 on the clock to get it to you and maybe another 5 for their PDI. AFAIK, each dealer does their own PDI not to get screwed by another dealer.

So you're looking at maybe 60 total as being acceptable and it has twice as many. My play would be to say it's been used as a demo for at least a few miles, and the price should reflect that, and if you try hard and they don't budge, you can always fall back on asking for a free extended warranty because ultimately your concern is potential hard driving by others which leads to premature failure of components.
Thats not bad, I like where you are going.
I was thinking though rather than warranty, which I doubt I'll ever use, maybe some accessories.
Maybe ill ask for the 250 they offered plus the two accessories I wanted free. hmm got me thinking now.

There are probably times when a car with 20 miles on it has been abused far worse than a car with 120 miles on it. There’s no way to know. The only thing that would really give me total peace of mind is if the car had less than 5 miles on it. I get your feelings though. Life is short. I still say go for it!

Every new car gets absolutely floored to redline off the train or boat or whatever it was delivered in. Dock workers have entire trains to unload and aren't going to dawdle around in the name of some break-in procedures. If not them then the techs doing the PDI.
This is true, but at the same time, how much damage can be done in 10 miles or less, especially if their job is on the line if they really screw things up.

Mine was delivered with just under 6 miles on the clock, and most of those were likely from PDI and getting gas.

@lumper. Good luck with your negotiations, but if you're going to do this, like Tw1stedlog1k said, be ready to walk or have them act tough and say they'll sell it to the next person in line if you don't want it.

Well, ill ask for the 250 they offered, plus some accessories thrown in, nothing major, door visors, splash guards, valve stem caps, locking lugs, seat protectors and a trunk tray.

I will, thanks very much.
I don't know what will come of this, but after seeing the car if I feel good about it, I will offer them what I said earlier, the $250 they offered me and the accessories I want thrown in.
All told it will save me 500 and get me a few hundred in other accessories I was going to buy later anyway.

Depends on the color. Tiger eye, blue, or red, I’d bite. But, I agree with prior comments that’s I’d try to use it as a bargaining chip to get more money off.

The only colors I like are liquid carbon with ebony, tigers eye with ebony, maybe a white with ebony, possibly a Lunar silver with ebony.
But I prefer the Liquid carbon or tigers eye.?
Thing is they have the car, it is what I want otherwise, they offered it to me for $250 under MSRP, so I guess if I can get them to throw in $500 in accessories, I will buy it, after inspecting it that is.

It would feel good to be able to say I got mine for $750 under MSRP.

It looks pretty great. I agree that if it test drives fine and you want it, you should move forward.

The playing field has changed, it's a toss up between the Integra Type S and that TL-S at this point lol.

If there are other dealers in town that you are willing to work with if it goes sideways, I would ask for $1500 off or free extended warranty and be prepared to walk out if they could not come very close to that.

Don't forget, there will be others out there soon enough.

Good Luck

Seems like a bit of making a mountain out of a mole hill here. I’m curious, did the dealer disclose the mileage before they did the dealer trade for you? And is this dealer one you want to actually form a relationship with for service, etc.?

I don’t know if someone had suggested this but can you negotiate an extended warranty? That can be a complement to the price discount and can be well worth it down the road, for your protection and the resale value.
