Hi,

I wonder if anyone had install an aftermarket remote start and security system on their Type S? I would like to know if the install is the same as the normal manual Integra 2023... Same wires color etc...

Thanks and have a nice day

There was a thread about this a week ago. Most of us do not recommend it. High risk, low reward. The other guy wanted it because he was too lazy to press the clutch to start the car.

I'd love remote start but haven't seen a compatible unit for the FL5/DE5

Fortin would like me to leave my car to them at a 50k distance from my house for 2 days to create a kit... but i'm not willing to do this :) I might be willing to get the install done using the non-type S manual kit and hope my installer figured and test the wires correctly :)

I reached out to the shop that previously installed remote start on my manual vehicles (they recently did my brother’s GRC) and they said Compustar is compatible with the DE5.

I haven’t done additional research, but plan to take my car to him within the next few weeks to have them install.

i believe with manual vehicles there is a sequence/process that you have to do in order to activate remote start as a safety measure (press brake pedal then pull e-brake up while releasing brake pedal shortly after). At least for my s2000 that’s the case.

Oh man. I love Fortin products. Can they do it over the weekend?

Compustar is weird I don't think they will let end users buy and install. They want you to go through an installer who will probably break something..

Acura Integra Aftermarket remote start and security question 1718396259893-b

Can someone have access to the Type S wiring diagram and confirm that the wires colors from the base 2023 matches the 2024 Type S?

I will be following this. What about flashing the units firmware? This is something Fortin will still have to supply. I don't think the DE4 or 11th Gen civic firmware will work would it?

If anyone near Montreal is willing to do this maybe they could, but I think they only work on week days... for my girlfriend Rav4 Prime, we got issue with the Fortin Evo Cut system and they sent one of their engineer to where the installation took place near my house to figure what was wrong... I would have like if they would also send people and use my ITS as a guinea pig but i'm not willing to leave my car to strangers for 2 days far from home...

If wiring are the same I think it would work and it's something I'm willing to try soon... would like to have someone with the shop manual that confirm this...

There's always a process to ensure the car is in neutral. When I used to install, it was:

Brake-clutch-neutral-ebrake-power button

Then the car would stay on until you get out, close the door, and lock the car. Once it locks, it shuts off.
