Anybody did audio system for their car yet and integrated into the els system.
I’m trying to figure out the els wiring diagram to see which speakers are powered from the amp and HU but I can’t find any info.
I want to add a 4 channel Audiocontrol d.4-800 for the 3 way speakers up front and 2 6.5 rear door speaker. Audiocontrol acm1.300 for the subwoofer jlw3.

I am personally curious why you think the stereo is not good enough as is, and what you plan to do to make it better?

The only thing i would like to add is a aftermarket subwoofer. I think the ELS speakers sound great.

Gotcha, well you can do a search on the word "subwoofer" and find a lot of forum entries with people that have done or are r looking to do exactly that.

I used this one in my FL5. Base became more clear with a little more punch. Just perfect for all types of music which is what I wanted to pair with the factory system.

I have a 10 inch sundown in a ported box and JL 1/1000. The only thing holding me back from installing it is how am I going to safely secure the box?

I’m interested in this as well. Wouldn’t this work fine in the hatchback and just put hd velco to keep from moving?

There are universal boxes on amazon that you can stick in the wheel well of the trunk. I dont have the time to buy the box to see if it fits. Another solution that is the ultimate last resort is using the four points as a tie down but that will basically take up the whole trunk space.

i'm pretty sure this is the unit my audio guy was suggesting. something that's not huge. comes in 10 and 12 inch options. TW3 slimline

I like this option. I swap cars like socks so it would be nice to be able to move to another car/truck too.

The best thing to do is get a custom built sub box and replace the stock sub box in the back. It should take up a little more room than the one that they have in there, but it’ll make the listening experience much better. Personally, I think the stereo is mediocre at best. I have been building stereos my whole life, though and used to something that sounds much clearer and strong.
I’ll be putting focal three-way system in the front with a few amps custom sub box in the back with a 12 inch JLW6. It’s gonna be fun.

I find the els system to be fine. Not great or excellent but just fine. I liked the tighter punch in my gti's stock fender system. I'm curious how your setup turns out! The area where the sub is is super generous, as is the flex of the fabric board. If custom boxed you could get enough volume for a 12"'s needs for even a sealed box. I'd highly recommend some sound deadening and suppressing foam all around.

make some fair points. Yes I’m a little pickier than most. It’s not a bad stereo by any means it’s just it leaves much to be desired for an audio file like myself.
I have a similar system in my civic sport hatchback right now and it rocks. Custom built sub box that is sealed in the passenger side in the trunk same spot where the Integra has the stock subwoofer.

Won’t be able to install this into the Integra for quite some time. I’m just glad they have an option to do a three-way system upfront. It’s gonna make a big difference.

You are definitely right about the sound dead mean though. It’s funny my Civic is quieter than my Integra is because I’ve dynamatted the whole floorboard and the front two doors. I imagine with some Dyna matting the Integra will sound much better.

Sorry, using voice to text and it’s messing a few things up
