Can FK8 or FL5 intercoolers fit DE5?

The aftermarket DE5 intercoolers are trickling out but still not nearly as many available for the DE5 as there are for the FL5 and FK8 platforms.

If anyone has insight as to how difficult it would be to fab an FK8 or FL5 IC to our DE5s, your input would be great to hear. I have an excellent local fab guy so I'm curious to hear about the compatibility or lack thereof ..

Would the FL5 ICs be easier to fit than the FK8? Just different mounting locations or would it require more modifications ?

What is wrong with the current offerings that has you looking for alternatives from another model?

Nothing wrong with them. I just want something bigger if I decide to put a rampage kit on the car down the road, and I don't want to buy twice.

Seems like 95% of ppl upgrading their ICs go PRL, which seems to do great up to about 500ish whp, but with a g30-770, I have my doubts as to whether the PRL is going to perform as well as a mishimoto, greddy, reggiebuilt etc.

I wouldn't see why the FL5 intercoolers won't fit. Maybe some light trimming on the plastics behind the bumper but should bolt right up.

The PRL FL5 and DE5 intercooler are the same.
