I got to see the Integra Typs S HRC unveiling and prototype at the Quail on Friday. It looks amazing and I want one! Too bad it’s parts only. Maybe there will be a special edition in a year or two?

For those that have S2000 or have friends with S2000, I still have plenty of engine related parts as well as a fully built engine looking for good homes. Hit me up if you are interested or know someone who is. I want to reclaim the space in the garage. :)

Not much ITS news lately as I have been driving the 911s. Last weekend, I had a chance to do a back-to-back drive 911 T (992.1) and 911 GT3 Touring (992.1). Both of them are manual. I thought I would share some of my observations as some of you might find them interesting, Maybe the...

Supposedly, it just needed a software update. I’m a bit suspicious. We shall see…

Around 4600 miles on my ITS now and i lt has been very fun! I dropped it off at the dealership today though. CEL (emission system and rev match system were the messages). Limp mode, no boost. :( Hopefully it’s minor and an easy fix.

The weather has been pretty nice in the PNW so it has been tough to stop driving the 911T. However, there was a reason for me to switch back to the ITS for a bit. The cool thing is, the moment I start driving the ITS, it feels special and enjoyable. Acura, truly well done!

Yes o_O I sold 3 of them and still have one (currently at PTuning). That is why I have a lot of S2000 parts that I am selling on s2ki (mainly engine and engine parts).
  8. Michelin PS4S or wheel bearing noise?

Glad it is all good, @norsairius. I would probably add that one should pick their professionals that they trust carefully as well. And it can be a great idea to learn and inspect yourself if one is inclined.

@bpebler That Porsche looks to have aftermarket body parts and color could be amethyst metallic. For 911, 996 and 997.1 (naturally aspirated, non-GT) has the IMS bearing risk. A properly rebuilt one is nothing to worry about. If you have a great local shop that charges reasonable rate, it can...

@bpebler I had a 2010 GT-R and a 2015 GT-R. Vette wise, had 2 C5 (one ended up being a Lingenfelter 427 TT) and played with a C6 Z6 a bunch. I don’t have direct experience with C7 or NSX. Some aspects for you to consider, We often over estimate the change in 1 year and underestimate the change...

Adding a perspective on mileage. Of course, there are Ferrari owners that pay a lot of attention to mileage as the market prices reflect that. For myself, I realized that time is the most precious resource and did some estimating. Even with a good health span and attempting to put as many fun...

@Scrodee, @ABPDE5 @optronix @chuuey have shared great insights and I am happy to add my views here. I would say Porsches are some of the best road cars to experience if what you value happens to align with Porsches strength. Based on what you have shared here and speculating/extrapolating a...
  13. Eventuri vs Gruppe M intakes

Doing it for aesthetic purposes is just as good a reason as any. Being clear on why you are doing it helps make the choice easier. Of course, making the choice can be part of the fun too. Deep down, you probably know which one you want more. ;)

After some additional miles on the stock PS4S tires, I am a little surprised that the ride quality is harsher than the DWS06+. We still get some cooler temperatures in the PNW and the DWS06+ works better in those conditions. Great car with great tires equals enjoyable drive!

Put the Michelin PS4S back on. As good as the DWS06+ is, the PS4S is a bit better as weather improves. Perhaps not surprising, steering feel improved and the traction limits are a bit higher. Silly enough, the Michelin sidewall looks cooler too. :D

As a track car, I would imagine you have addressed the coolant pipes, yes? At least you turned it into an amazing track car.

I had a chance to drive the 3.8L version before and thought it was great but not quite “grail” material. Before driving the 4.0L, I thought it would just be a little better here and there. Perhaps typical of Porsche, all those small improvements made the 4.0L “grail” material. Aircooled...

Extremely fortunate that I also got to experience a few other incredible Porsches besides the 964 RS. About 20 miles of amazing roads in a 993 RS, a short test drive in a 997 GT3RS 4.0L, and ~2 hours in a CGT! To me, the 993 RS is “too refined”. The 997 GT3RS 4.0L and CGT are truly special...

Transition from an incredible event, I finally have a chance to collect my thoughts on the 964 RS. When I drove the car briefly a few months ago, I enjoyed it but did not have a chance to really understand the car. I got to spend 3 days and over 500 miles on some incredible roads around and the...
