Was just looking at their listing.
I'm "bookmarking" one of these flat-bottomed wheels with alcantara and white stitching. I'd only do it if I also swapped out the center console and if someone gives us a carbon fiber option for the dash trim, though -- I couldn't do it just on its own.
All these carbon fiber wheels look very similar... I wouldn't be surprised if the source for all of them is the same.
Synth Carbon has theirs listed for a fair bit less (granted with fewer options).
Would be curious to see photos if anyone pursues any of these options. Frustrating that Acura...
Based on how the PMC editions have been handled for other cars, I'd expect the full suite of standard accessories (bronze wheels, black badges, illuminated sills, carbon fiber spoiler / mirrors, etc.), plus maybe a carbon fiber diffuser, and the custom paint.
Considering TLX Type-S PMC pricing...
The stock exhaust does sound really good on this car, especially at low rpm, and the ability to swap between comfort / sport + is nice.
From the recordings I've heard of the AWE, it does sound better at wot at high rpm, though.
Assuming the implementation is the same as on their FL5 design...
Agreed. I definitely want to see some third-party before / after before I invest.
I could see a dealer refusing to fix an O2 sensor issue. It's pretty hard to argue that a freer-flowing cat / pipe post-turbo is to blame for other hardware issues (if anything, it should boost reliability d/t...
I think I read on CivicXI forums that their dyno testing showed +15 hp on the stock tune using this system on the FL5 (it includes a front pipe).
I'd want to see a third-party before / after measurement, but if I can get 10% increased hp (not to mention quicker spool time) with a catted...
I've had mine a month now, and I've put just under 1200 miles on it in that time.
The first two weeks I couldn't stop driving it. I'd wake up and just want to be done with my day so I could go for a drive, and while I'm no longer fiending quite so hard, I still look for opportunities to take it...
Cool. Would you mind letting me know re: fit, etc., as well? If it's real and fits nicely (no squeaks, rattles, etc.), I'd be interested. That piano black center console trim is gonna look rough in a year or two...
Completely agree on both accounts. I never could understand the value a standard 981 GT4 commands.
I was a little hung up on the strut suspension, but it works well enough -- much like, based on your feedback, the lack of PTV (and back to my point about implementation > principle / concept).
Yeah, the GTS front end looks much better... and the GT4 puts them all to shame (including the hood).
I had forgotten PASM was standard. I think most of the GTSs I looked at had been optioned with PTV; you are correct, though, finding an S with PTV was proving very difficult (hence my confusion...
This was exactly how I felt... I wasn't actually going to be able to drive the car the way I wanted to, and I wanted it to drive it. (I suppose it's worth mentioning that the smaller 2.7l might be down enough in power to rectify the gearing issue if you really want a Cayman and also want to flog...
