right when i stopped caring and put it on the back burner, i got an allocation with July25 week build date. silver/black. i just bought an M3 CS about 2 months ago so trying to decide what to do with that car. i was hoping for white or blue but silver will look good, i think ... i've been looking for some photos of one but coming up empty handed :-/

i saw black in person and wow .. very sparkly.

The dealer Iā€™m in contact with is $5K over MSRP on the CTR. However, Iā€™m attempting to utilize my contact there (one of the owners) to persuade them to sell me one of their 2024 allocations at MSRP. They havenā€™t told me ā€˜noā€™. But, I have the feeling they want to wait until January before making a decision. Basically, if the market softens, Iā€™m confident theyā€™ll accept. But, if demand remains high, my chances are not goodā€¦..and ITS it is!

Mike

i just offered a local dealership $5k over on a gray CTR but they're firm at $10k over. painful. ITS at MSRP is a no-brainer for me. good luck to you on the MSRP deal! i have a friend who is taking delivery of his MSRP CTR this or next week hopefuly. they're out there, just rare.

Pretty sure the silver doesn't exist yet, so you will be one of the first! So make sure to take plenty of photos! Weirdly, I think even the normal Integras are rather rare in Silver, at least in my area. It's mostly Blue, Black, White and LCM. Silver and Red seem pretty rare.

oh interesting! i'm hoping it looks good but have confidence it'll be classy... even if a bit subtle which i'm fine with. should only be a couple-few weeks!

I went that route and got an RS3. Itā€™s on another level. In my case I didnā€™t have to pay over MSRP, while all of the Acura dealers around me wanted 5K over minimum. So the RS3 was only 8K more than an ITS.
The RS3 is a fantastic car... but I learned my lesson by now that I can't substitute for a manual transmission. As a driver's car the Integra has better inputs, but the engine in the RS3 is an all-time masterpiece.

You can't compare the Type S to the base Integra. I cannot get excited for a base Integra, it is completely pedestrian. I've seen plenty on the road since I knew I was interested in the Type S and it almost makes me second-guess myself every time. It is just the most "ok looking" car ever made...

But the Type S changes all of that, more so than almost any other car out there.

Take the RS3 for example. There are clear visual indicators vs the A3- but most average people probably wouldn't really notice. Same for the CT4 Blackwing vs regular CT4, The Type S though may as well be a completely different car. Maybe a GT4 vs regular Cayman is comparable with the amount of visual changes... but the Cayman is already a great-looking car the GT4 just adds more flair. The Type S transforms the basic Integra into a legit knockout. I'm sure it will look great in silver.

Yeah that was a MAJOR factor for me jumping the gun. I had made the decision a few weeks ago to double down and move on from my precious 718 that I custom ordered and waited a literal length of a full-term pregnancy for... but being painfully aware of how used car prices seem to continue to plummet compounded by the issues with trying to sell a convertible in late fall/winter, I decided I needed to aggressively shift my timeline. I came close to giving up on the Integra; the right F80 M3 would have done it, and a decent deal for $5k over on a CTR very nearly did it.

Fortunately for me a couple things fell in my favor; a local dealership with a relatively new GM looking to foster a relationship, and an available car in transit.

The silver lining is there does at least seem to be a pretty promising volume of cars in transit right now. There are cars out there... and honestly I have to feel like the fact that used car prices are falling rapidly AND a similar influx in Type R inventory has to result in others getting the deals they want on these cars.

The right color they want though? Seems like that may have to wait, as it seems most of these incoming cars are either red, white, black, or tiger eye. Fortunately for me I was already starting to lean towards Performance Red anyway. Honestly where I landed was I was sold on the car, the color is secondary.

Except Tiger Eye; it's a cool color but not for me.
Glad you got your allocation! The red has really grown on me... I think it's my second favorite (ABP still #1). Post pics when you get yours in!

Hello - this is my first post here but I've been a lurker for maybe a few weeks now. Stumbled upon this forum thanks to the helpful thread tracking dealers and whether they're charging MSRP, ADM, etc.!

As for what I'm doing while I wait? I'm obsessively checking posts in threads at this forum for anything that might clue me in on availability of these cars and how quickly they're coming in, hahah. I also find myself checking inventory at Acura's website, maybe more often than I should...

I otherwise put down a refundable deposit for an ABP/Orchid ITS and let the sales associate know that I'd generally be interested in any color combo that may become available if someone drops off the wait list for any reason. I was quoted a wait of roughly 6-12 months, but potentially more. I'm going to try and call the dealership today to see if anything's changed.

I'm not too concerned with the wait at the moment as I currently have a lease on a 2021 TLX that ends in Sept. 2024.

Nice! Seems like you have a pretty solid plan, and ways to avoid the antziness.

Yeah, I'm still very excited for the ITS and the wait will be difficult at times, but having the TLX in the meantime helps. It's a great car, but I'm looking for something smaller and sportier. I really like how comfortable the TLX is though, but it can be surprisingly small on the inside considering how big it is on the outside. The Integra has more space on the inside, if I'm not mistaken! I'm sure I'll miss SH-AWD (probably the best AWD system I've experienced in any of my cars I've had), but I've had a number of FWD cars and they've always handled snow just fine, especially with a set of good winter tires.

I'm also excited about the idea of having a car with a manual transmission again. Last one I had was a 2010 VW GTI that I traded in around 2012 and that car was a blast.

Edit: Talked to the sales associate I've been working with at Acura and he let me know that I'm 18th in line, 4th for ABP. As of right now, he's only aware of 4 more ITSes coming in to the dealership this year . Here's hoping they get more than that!

What do you think of the M3 CS?

I have an order in at $5k over for a black carā€”it's just left the factoryā€”but I'm on the fence whether it seems like enough of an upgrade over a competition G80 Xdrive. Big price gap.

its spectacular, honestly, but nothing is perfect. I never drove a G80 to compare and itā€™s been years since I had my F80s so I canā€™t give input there .

The carbon fiber is beautiful which probably is a big part of the cost. Steering feel is good for electronic, speed is great, looks are good. I think itā€™s probably diminishing returns but still better. Personal choice on value? Value is a hard thing to gauge but everything points to this being the best M3 performance wise so far.Itā€™s heavy but fun to drive on the street. Almost too fast.

i miss a manual and donā€™t like the annoying HVAC menus but those things donā€™t bother everyone.

Got mine at MSRP and it is for sale but I go through way too many cars for no good reasonā€¦ I think most people who like what M3s offfer will love the 3CS.

Fair enough! Thank you for your input. Iā€™m also wondering if itā€™s too fast for the street, ahahah
