  1. Is the type s able to run on 87?

I had to re-read this because in my head it sounded more ominous than it really is. 87 = fine. 86 or less = bad. Regardless, I'd only use 87 in a pinch, but at least there's some reassurance on the fuel door and owner's manual that it should be fine. And if it isn't, you at least have Acura's...
  2. Is the type s able to run on 87?

On the fuel door it says 87 minimum, 93 recommended. From all the previous responses here, I agree you should default to using 93. But it probably won't hurt to use 87 if you're ever in a pinch and that's the only grade available.
  3. Mod inspos for integra A-spec

Not sure what style of spoiler you're looking for but personally I like that the Integra doesn't have a huge wing like the Type R. That said, I have been looking for something a little more aggressive than the stock lip spoiler. I like the style of Acura's accessory spoiler but I don't care for...
  4. Disable Alexa to use the cars native voice assistant

Not sure whether this will work, but just a thought: does your car show up in your Amazon account? See if there's a setting to remove/unlink it there.
  5. I am looking to buy a Type S what are somethings to watch for

Good on you for doing your due diligence and for walking away from the other dealer. I had the same situation when buying mine - I ended up going with their financing and refinancing 2 days later with my credit union for a lower rate. Yes it was another hoop to jump through, but this was early...
  6. I am looking to buy a Type S what are somethings to watch for

If a dealer tries to sell at a markup, negotiate or run. Sounds like there are dealers that were charging a $10k markup 6-8 months ago are now selling at MSRP. As far as issues, I haven't really had any so far. I complain about how frequently I'm filling up but I doubt you'll have that issue...
  7. Aftermarket wheel availability for 19s

I was considering the Apex EC-7 or the BBS XR for my snow setup but had the same issue and didn't want to wait. I ended up getting a set of 18x8.5 Enkei TS-V with +38 offset for winter. Scrub radius difference is significant but I haven't noticed a downgrade in handling, at least in winter...
  8. What should I ask for my 2024 Integra?

If you have the time and patience, call around to a few local dealers as well (doesn't have to be Acura) - see if they'll buy your car and can beat the Carvana price (even if you don't buy one of theirs). Worst that can happen is they say no or lowball you, and you walk away.
  9. Hill Start, Hill stop, E-brake

There was a thread about this in one of the Facebook groups too - The Type S rev matches in first gear, but I guess the base and A-spec don't.
  10. Hill Start, Hill stop, E-brake

Yes, just make sure you don't hold the clutch in too long after shifting, otherwise the RPMs will drop back down. I find that the sweet spot is about a second. The car will sense whichever gear you pick and rev to the appropriate RPM and hold it there for a second or two. I haven't tested this...
  11. Hill Start, Hill stop, E-brake

To add to this: hill assist only works when you're uphill and in first gear, or downhill and in reverse (and on a steep enough incline). Also it only holds it for a second or two. If you get into the habit of turning on brake hold (the button next to your e-brake switch), it will always hold...
  12. Side Mirror Reverse Auto Tilt Install

I somehow missed your post until now. When I say there's "no room", I mean there isn't much room in the little assembly that holds the VSA button and the blank. That assembly clips into the larger panel That covers your fuse box. There is plenty of room to stick the module behind that panel. You...
  13. Spotted Integra Type S Thread!

I spotted a black one with copper wheels just now in Downers Grove. Ogden Ave, heading east by Finley/Belmont. Second one I've seen out in the wild since buying mine almost 8 months ago.
  14. What should I ask for my 2024 Integra?

Sad day for the Integra but the 911 will be a great car! Whenever I sell a car, I usually get some quotes from Carvana, Carmax, etc. If you do a private sale, add a couple grand to those quotes (I've sold 2 previous cars that way and gotten $2k over what Carmax offered). I didn't want to deal...
  15. DIY Power Folding Mirrors: a journey

You shouldn't need to de-pin anything to change out the base. You just carefully take off the black plastic cover with a plastic trim removal tool and transfer your color-matched one over. Be careful not to break any clips or scratch the paint. You only need to de-pin if you are opening up the...
  16. Change to metric

Miles to KM can be done easily, but I didn't see any options to switch to Celsius on the temperature readout. You'd probably have to swap out the HVAC control panel for a Canadian version (can probably use the one from a European Civic as well). I read that someone had this same issue with their...
  17. Side Mirror Reverse Auto Tilt Install

I decided to finally go ahead and wire up a switch to disable the reverse tilt. I ended up drilling a 12mm (smallest I could find) latching push-button switch in the blank next to the VSA switch. There is very little room to work with in there and I needed to grind down some of the plastic...
  18. Mugen 22 Civic Mirror Caps fit 23 Integra DE4?

To answer your original question, yes the mirror caps between the Civic and the Integra should be interchangeable. I installed power folding mirrors on Integra Type S that were intended for the Civic Type R. Used my original mirror assembly but just swapped the motors (which bolt into the mirror...
  19. Sport+ mode

I can confirm better MPG with Comfort mode. Not sure if it actually does anything or if it's just because I don't feel compelled to drive like a bat out of hell. I used to always immedately put it in Individual (Sport+ throttle w/ Comfort everything else) but lately I decided to start using...
