Heh, thanks. I've since had a few small performance mods and making some more power, so definitely not going to find that traction now.

That said, I do think whenever these PS4S wear out, I'll move to Cup 2 or RE71r which should help a bit more. Part of it I find is that older roads with more wear has basically no traction, even 3rd gear slips. Some roads are paved differently or are just newer and I'm able to pull in 2nd without slipping even after the tune.
Lower your tire pressure for straight line grip. Go narrower and taller on tires.

Cup2 and re71 are not designed for straight line grip either, it's what they intentionally give up for lateral traction. You might want something like a mickey T or a nitto street radial.

Thanks for the tip @Victorofhavoc. I'm not looking to win straight line races, but just trying to get some improvements in traction overall. I have more fun going fast in corners more than anything, but I was definitely able to throw my old car much harder in corners and roundabouts, even when it's a hot summer day. I'm sure some of it was the stiff coilovers and 400-500lb lighter car, some in tire differences.

I've tried lowered tire pressure too and honestly didn't feel a difference. I'm just waiting for an excuse to switch out stock with 18" rims and different compound, and probably enough time between purchases from a financial standpoint.

And no, please @nawfoo, no Tesla for me, haha. If one does end up under this roof, it'll be for groceries and carrying the family around town.

Definitely the weight. Weight always win. Lotus 🤤

This car has a mountain of mechanical grip, but it NEEDS weight transfer to make it happen.
