Apparently "problem stickers" are related to some type of shortage:

Good news LCMer's - I was told that 85 of these vehicles were on the repair lot & that it is down to 7 with the rest (78) being shipped out. It was a chip in the wheel paint from the supplier supposedly.

For clarification, I was messaging 2 different plant workers but wanted to protect their identity out of respect & one of them asked me straight up not to share publicly at first.

Thanks for the info! Chipped rims seems like an odd reason for hold though. That's an easy swap...

With our luck, those will be shipped as dealer allocations instead while they make ours new, LOL.

It really does. Same reason why I started doubting the seat fire & BSM thing but after one of them confirmed it's a parts issue & the other came back with that it was the wheel - I guess that's what it is 🤷🏽‍♂️

That makes you really wonder. What is so special about the wheels on the LCM cars?

Is there something special about the first 200 reservation car wheels vs the other allocations they could have taken wheels from to ship the early orders? Just like the k20C8 silence, thoughts and rumors can fill the void left by lacking concrete info.

Probably just the wheels that were used/delivered the week the LCMs were built.

I can only assume it made sense due to which lot they were located versus already scheduled shipping? I don't know. I still don't like it either & wish someone had a full explanation. As long as we receive in the next couple weeks, I can probably have an easier time forgetting.

Everyone knows that LCM rims are forged while all other colors get cast! That's why its the fastest color.

What if all the first 200 reservations came with forged wheels! Mine does seem faster than the demo. ;)

Just rotten luck, I'm sure for you LCM/Red folks. Sorry you have to wait so long, but I can say it is worth it. I was also frustrated as others took delivery and I had to wait as my delivery window was pushed back a couple times. The frustration faded pretty quickly once I got behind the wheel.

Absolutely, it’s quite the car! Really glad I could drive the demo.

Feels bad because even if they ship this week, it’s a full month to get the cars to Portland—BMW can get cars here from Germany in as little as 6 weeks 🤣

For context, gold cars just arrived this week, and blue arrives in a few days.

Type S in the house!
My dealer confirmed this morning that LCM car (allocation) had been assigned a truck with a ship date of 7/20 (to TN). They are expecting to receive in the next 3-4 days.
Anything showing up on Acuras website?

I checked around and still see 0 LCMs in transit on the Acura website, but wouldn't be surprised if it takes a few days to process especially if these weren't in the planned production.

So, assuming we are getting the old cars, I guess that means our paint will be fully baked by now and I can take it straight to ppf!
