Made a quick vid below of how to disable the Active noise cancelation (ANC) module in the Integra.
This is required if you are installing an aftermarket subwoofer. This was done on the Type-s which also appears to slightly amplify the engine sound (fake engine sounds). Definity a more natural sounding engine as the RPM's go up with this disabled.

Appreciate you taking the time to make a great tutorial video. I know these take time and effort, but it definitely helps others out there.

Any downside of removing this? I didn't even hear the fake noise...

But if there is any Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) features of this part, might lose that in the process!

Correct. This is purely if informational and some will want it disabled if they install aftermarket amp and sub as it will cause the sub to feedback. ANC is designed to use your speakers to help cancel out unwanted road noise. As far as fake engine noises there are discrepancies between the FL5 and the DE5. FL5 is confirmed to have the fake engine noise. From some of what I have come across some say it is in the DE5 and some say not. I have a lot of after market parts which make extra noise but I can say that it does sound subtly different but only in higher RPM’s.
