Palut and all, just to clarify here the car *will* start in individual mode if you change to individual before starting.

Press the start button without the clutch in to move the car to on, press the individual button and see the dash reflect the mode change, then push in the clutch and press the start button, listen to your pops and crackles and be on your way.

I'm reasonably sure that the car will not start in Individual mode under OEM settings because of the EPA's CAFE rules. It's the same reason that Honda is forced to recommend 0W-20 oil only, and state that other weights are not allowed outside of emergency conditions. If they want to get the CAFE credit for using 0W-20 oil and auto-stop, then it has to be the default option for the consumer. Since Individual mode allows us to disable auto-stop, allowing the car to start in Individual mode would invalidate the CAFE savings and potentially cost Honda huge sums of money in penalties.

Thank goodness that the federal government knows what's best for us better than we do, am I right? :(

Hi,

When I start the car, it automatically selects "Sport" mode. Then I manually push "Individual" button. Next time I start the car, it doesn't remember my last mode and selects "Sport" mode again. I don't really want to press "Individual" every time I start the car.

Anyone knows how to make "Individual" mode selected automatically when car starts?
Honestly it’s just a thing it does not a huge deal worst case when u get into the car turn on acc then click individual and proceed one thing though u can reprogram it do actually stay in the mode last driven I forget what exactly but you gotta buy a kit or something to plug under the center console cover where the shifter is and it will “fix” that I’d love to be able to vac enable without having to pedal dance when a guy challenges me lmao
