How to protect suede

Anybody thinking about putting on something to protect the synthetic suede inserts? I'm getting the orchid interior and want it to last.

Have not looked into it specifically, but the dealer put on some sort of fabric protector and are "warrantying it for 10 years" I trust it for now.

I was looking at chemical guys hydroleather since it's synthetic suede and synthetic leather that should be good. Will need to wait until I get mine to test the underside of a seat to make sure it doesn't discolor it

I was thinking using Scotchguard but have not had a chance to test it out yet.
I will spray a small inconspicuous spot to see f it discolors or darkens the finish.

hypothetically you could use waterproofing spray like the stuff people use to repel water/stains on shoes.

About a year ago, I applied Griot's Fabric Protectant per the instruction on the bottle, and it has held up very well. Small spills are easily blotted away without issue and water beads on the fabric.
