I've given up on this. I un-installed and reconnected my phone. The GPS now works again on the HUD but my car still says I'm not connected to AcuraLink lol. Make it make sense

Not sure if this will help, but try restarting the infotainment system by going into the car's hidden menus and finding the restart option there. There's a how-to video floating around on YouTube of someone doing this on a CR-V. This helped when my phone would no longer connect to CarPlay.

I'm also curious why you want to connect to AcuraLink, especially on a Type S. The app is very decontented compared to the A-spec, it's slow to update, and doesn't give you any additional functionality or information that you don't immediately see upon starting the car (and maybe MyQ functionality). I ended up deleting the app after I got a new phone, for this reason.

I don't. The app is useless. I thought it was the reason why the GPS in the HUD stopped working. It also won't update the system because it says I have no connection. Never had these issues before. When I would start my car everytime it would auto connect to the app. I was able to connect to my wifi and it says the system is up to date. That's all I cared to check. The app is pointless.
