HVAC Control Panel -- Does it show the mode while in Auto?

Interesting. Thanks for digging deeper. Oddly, when looking at our units, it appears as though the display is there, but apparently not the brains to display the info.
Yes. if you manually adjust it (fan speed, mode, etc), it'll show the display. But for auto it turns the display off - guess it likes doing its thing without someone staring over its shoulder. My MK7 GTI did the same thing, but I was able to enable the fan speed display with a bluetooth OBD dongle. Unfortunately I don't know of a way to do this in the Integra short of swapping out the hardware.

What was even the point of Acura doing this?

Isn't it more cost effective to just use the same part across their platforms?

just says the temp in auto mode. when it's heating it sends most of the air out the bottom vents and when it's cooling it sends most air out the top vents.

So I just realized that my 2008 TSX does this too. I never even noticed so essentially not a big deal to me.
