I was going to wait for the spring, but a friend I knew from age 5 just passed away from cancer. (I am 59) They don’t put pockets in coffins for a reason! First manual since my 94 Toyota Pickup in 2001. I got thrown to lions immediately in D.C. traffic, but it came back quickly. Plus rev matching and brake hold are excellent babysitters. I’ll be good at 2k.

It’s also been years since any forums besides the blowhards on TacomaWorld. (I don’t do “regular” social media). Looking forward to checking in daily with the crew!

Sorry about your friend. I had a similar reaction decades ago when my first boss passed away. A couple of weeks later I had a Dodge Daytona Shelby Z, my first turbo. I LOVED that car, rattles and all.

Regarding your new ride, be prepared for plenty of compliments. Yesterday an acquaintance was drooling all over my red ASpec.

Sorry to hear about your friend. One of my favorite colors, my local dealer received one this week 25 model same color. Was very tempted to trade considering I am having new rear pads installed at 11700 miles and resurfacing the rotors. The rears go quick on these cars I read.

Sorry to hear about your friend and you're absolutely right about not putting pockets in coffins. You can't take it with you. Live your life to the fullest because tomorrow is never promised. Congrats on your new ride!
