I went with HEXIS bodyfence XM. (Satin matte)
It’s similar to matte but just so you’re aware there a difference between matte (like paint primer flat) and satin matte ppf

I did a sample test with both before deciding

I like matte a lot on the white, and am guessing black would look really good with it.

I like tiger eye a lot as a color, but for some reason don't like it on the integra. This matte on tiger eye just really makes me sad.

I didn’t think it would be so expensive, most of the quotes I got have been almost $6k , I did find one place at $4k for the entire car but never heard of the material they said they use .

Satin matte is definitely the way to go. How much $$$ did yours cost if you don't mind me asking?

Pictures of those black cars are not mine. Was just showing as an example. When you go matte/satin you’ll pretty much have to do the entire vehicle. The cost for mine was $4800

this is the turnout of how it looks on my ITS

I would spend some time to carefully research the film you’d like to use. It’s no small cost for PPF so be sure to get exactly what you want a a qualified installer

It looks so good , hard to tell in pictures but can you still see some of the pearl metallic sparkle with it ? Also what is the life span normally with ppf ?

That's about what I paid for my Macan for Xpel Stealth, but I had gotten quotes upwards of $12k. It really just depends on the installer... some installers charge insane amounts. I can only imagine it's because people are paying it and they have enough work. The installer that quoted me $12k actually did my Boxster previously through the dealership and it was ok work, not worth the upcharge IMO... and FWIW he also quoted me over $5k for just the front and rockers for the ITS. Something about the "amount of materials because the bumper is so long" etc. etc., I won't be going back to him again ever.

My current installer I will continue to go back to. Anyone in or around DC/NoVA let me know, happy to provide details. Reasonable pricing and exceptional work. My ITS only has the front because I elected to not go the satin/matte route with that one because I love the way the Performance Red Pearl looks in the sun as is. But the Macan is menacing; it's my wife's car and as she puts it, it "punks other Macans".

I really need better pictures of it, they don't do it justice. I've had it over a year now, and no issues. There's also a 10 year warranty.

The platinum white pearls are visible with the satin ppf I chose. Please note depending on the film you choose there are different reflective properties. Satin has a shinier finish than matte which is more flat. Comparatively, satin have between 25% and 35% gloss while matt is 5-10%. The pearls will definitely be less visible and you'll lose the gloss shine going with matte/satin.

The life span of PPF has a large range, so I'd be misleading if i give you one particular number. Let's say the average lifespan is five years. But if well maintained PPF can last beyond 10+ years.

1. Will your car be exposed to the sun on a daily basis?
2. Will you wash your vehicle at least twice a month?
3. Would you remove tree sap, bird droppings etc to prevent it from damaging ppf?
4. Do you plan on applying ceramic coating on top of PPF?

In my case I applied ceramic coating made for PPF myself. Sounds silly to get protection for your protection but I also wanted ease of maintenance. With PPF+Ceramic i've been pressure washing and everything comes right off. Using simple PH neutral soap. As you can see in the review test video, the man did no maintenance on his 4 year testing and you can see which PPF brands start to haze, orange peel and accumulate swirls. So the lifespan depends largely on the user plus the quality of film used.

There are other factors in choosing a qualified installer. PPF application requires lots of fluid. If your installer decides to cut cost and uses hard water, the film can become discolored. Premium distilled water is what you want. Find out if your installer will wrap the edges and how do they plan to seal the edges for you? PPF on white paint is the toughest because if not done right dirt will accumulate on the edges and begin to lift.

I chose to go with matte-satin PPF for this reason, it hides imperfections much better and doesn't quite have the hazy deterioration over time.

Lastly, check the warranty terms with your film manufacturer AND your installer.
