Mesh to protect intercooler

Hi,

I am soon to install PRL intercooler. I looked at my OEM intercooler and there are many dents from rocks, flies, and other surprises. I am sure it doesn't impact the intercooler functionality.
But, did anyone try to install or saw some mesh to better protect against rocks? I think FL5 has a mesh vs. DE5 which is fully open.

I have the supplies bought for such a project, but haven;t gotten around to installing it. planning to do it when i have some time as it requires dropping the bumper and then i'll finally get around to putting the black front A-mark too.

Thanks! That's exactly what I was looking for.
I will likely go with the "diamond" pattern. I think it matches better the EOM mesh above.

Any insights about material, plastic mesh vs. aluminum?

I watched this video -
I also looked at the grill shape.
- The shape of the lower grill is not flat.
- I think it's better to go with aluminum since I can bend it to the shape of the grill.
- I think there is enough room to bend the mesh and glue it on the edges of the grill from inside. This might look cleaner vs. using straps.
