So no, GR86 is not the only option.

Worst reliability in its class (literally VW is 2 from the bottom in Consumer reports tests and reviews)
SLOWEST car in its segment, 0 is known about the GR at this point

A literal SUV, no LSD
Cant find ANY confirmation on WRX length, but its universally ugly as shit with a park bench rear bumper, which you also seem to be worried about.

So, all your list don't even exist yet or don't fit your own "requirements that canceled out the Integra.


Honestly all I've gotten from your posts is you're very picky, but for some reason require an LSD but some reason the weight of the car means nothing to you, so it must not be for track use. So... maybe snow? but then why not just get AWD? I also cant think of ANY reason you'd be so picky about length unless you are just poor at judging distances. Arguing 10-12 inches I'd understand, but your acting like 2 inches makes a car massive, which also implies you've never actually DRIVEN a proper family car, only compacts/sub compacts.

I have opinions too, but I justify and explain them, I don't just complain about how 2 inches somehow ruins a car, when you apparently just shortly a go upsized a car for an LSD, when you yourself name shorter cars... So it sounds like you made a bad decision, and now regret it.

Also feel free to look at now/then Sentra, accord, Altima, maxima, taurus, focus vs escort, old GTI vs new....everything has grown, name ANY car thats not grown.

Go buy a Fiesta ST, sounds like thats what you really want.

I've no interest in an accord, cause it's huge. Mustang is huge but it's got a 6mT V8, so I can excuse it. The Civic doesn't have a V8.

If the Integra is really 5" longer than the new hatch, I'm not interested. The Type R is still on the table, as is the GR Corolla.

They are not its main rivals. (Except maybe Mazda3)
Integra isn’t a sport compact. In fact, it never was at least in base trim.

We should compare it to entry level compact cars.

A3 8” shorter
2GC 7” shorter
CLA 0.6” shorter
A sedan 6” shorter
CT4 2” longer

Which still shows how long the Integra is, but with right competitors.

Its a Civic Si with nicer interior at least in base form. I think it competes with both my list and yours, although Acura probably likes your list better lol. Probably needs a 2.0T to compete with those.

Yeah, the 200HP base Integra for thousands less than all of those is price and a couple hundreds pounds less in weight, its going to do just fine with its 1.5T.

While it would I'm sure be set up to be a great handler, acceleration would likely be so-so. I'm talking a high 6's best case to low 7's worse case 0-60.

For comparison, my aftermarket tuned 10th gen 1.5T outputs 220whp/250wtq and is only 2900 lbs. That car is capable of mid to high 5's to 60.

It seems to me if Acura wants to get some of the sport compact crowd, they may need to bump up power a bit. 215/215 has a nice ring to it.

I chalk that up to emissions.

Lets not forget the Integra is also, if I recall, the ONLY car in its class now with a manual and LSD. All those others are auto only.

So to me none of those are even an option.

It more then likely is. Still glad it’s getting LSD. I’m glad it’s not an E-LSD like what Hyundai uses. In fact I think all the competition have LSD and not E-LSD.

We will more then likely understand how the engine performs via the Civic Si reviews coming next week on 1.5t. Same transmission, engine, LSD, somewhat the same exhaust and same light weight flywheel.

I can’t remember the rear tire width. But Integra should be wider. Type S of course will have wider tires front and rear.
