Personally I went with wider 18's for family comfort (new baby too), cold weather, potholes. I won't drive it in the snow, so no need for narrow setup.
I do plan on using the oem setup next year as well as get another set of 19's for the track close to the oem wheel specs - maybe slightly wider but not much - for circuit stuff. Have my eye on Rays G025's in dark amber clear.
I agree the driving dynamics changed as far as cornering is concerned, somewhat negatively - but so has grip from going to the all seasons from summer rated which is obvious. So for us in the colder months, it serves its purposes. But I can't wait to get a stickier tire back on with some forged 19's closer to the oem specs next year.
